Presentation of Festival

The International Imago Film Festival was born with the idea of ​​promoting cinema, especially independent cinema, by encouraging research and experimentation with cinematographic language.
The idea of ​​the festival was born from the meeting of IMAGO with the city of Civitella del Tronto, where the award-winning film "The right to happiness" by Claudio Rossi Massimi was made by IMAGO.

After the first two editions in the wonderful setting of Civitella del Tronto, the third edition will take place in the Municipality of Teramo with a wide-ranging cultural program full of innovations that goes beyond national borders and which strengthens and highlights this fascinating bond .

The International Imago Film Festival will be all this and much more.

The jury will be composed of qualified industry experts and will award the following prizes:

"Amarcord Award" for the best Italian film;

"Casablanca Prize" for the best foreign film;

"Sergio Leone Aword" for the best Italian film director;

"Stanley Kubrick Award" for best foreign film direction;

"Tonino Guerra Aword"" for the best Italian screenplay;

"Billy Wilder Award" for Best Foreign Screenplay;

"Vittorio Gassman Award" for Best Italian Film Actor;

"Humphrey Bogart Award" to the best actor in a foreign film;

"Monica Vitti Award" for the best Italian actress;

"Lauren Bacall Award" for Best Actress in a Foreign Language Film;

"Tonino Delli Colli Aword"" for the best photography;

"Burt Bacharach Award" for the best original soundtrack.

The jury, moreover, at its sole discretion and not necessarily, can also award the following prizes:

Best Italian supporting actor;
Best foreign supporting actor;
Best Italian supporting actress;
Best foreign supporting actress;
Best set design;
Best costumes.

SPECIAL AWARD "The right to happiness" to be awarded to personalities from the world of art, entertainment and culture who have distinguished themselves for their commitment to social.

SPECIAL AWARD "We are all butterflies" that will be awarded to a work whose contents will raise awareness of environmental issues.

1. ORGANIZATION
The International Imago Film Festival is organized by IMAGO and takes place in the municipality of Teramo.

2. REGISTRATION
The official selection of fiction feature films of both Italian and foreign nationality is admitted for a minimum duration of 70 minutes.

The registration of the works is free.
Short films and documentaries may also be entered out of competition, to which the jury may award special prizes.

3. DATE AND duration
The third edition of the International IMAGO Film Festival will take place in Teramo from 27 July to 3 August 2024.

4. SECTIONS OF THE FESTIVAL
The festival is divided into the following categories:

- Competition for Italian fiction feature films;

- Competition for international fiction feature films;

5. OFFICIAL SELECTION
They are admitted to the selection of Italian and international fiction feature films.

The selection of the works is carried out by and according to the unquestionable evaluation of the Festival Management.
The Festival Management reserves the right to insert out of competition:

- works nominated but not selected for the competition;

- works differing in type and duration from feature films.

5.1 Opening and closing of registrations.
Entries for the selection for the third edition of International Imago Film Festival open on 1 February. 2024 and close on 31 May 2024.

5.2 Conditions of admission to selection.
The works, to be admitted to the selection, must have been produced from 01/01/2020.

5.3 Selection mode.
The Management reserves the right to refuse copies that, to the control of the technicians of the Festival, are inadequate for a quality screening.

The holders of distribution rights, to register the works, must fill in and sign the appropriate registration form on the site under the registration form no later than 31 May 2024.

The references of the selected works will be contacted by the Management at least fifteen days before the opening of the Festival. Those who will be selected will be asked to send one or more copies of the work, at the expense of the sender.

5.4 Registration of works.
The application form must be submitted through the Festhome platform.

5.5 Materials to be sent for selection.
To be admitted to the first selection it is necessary that the owners provide a streaming link (with password), as required by the registration form.

Finally, for the final selection, you will need to send at least three photos of the film in high quality, the trailer and the poster.

5.6 Screening of films.
The selected works will be screened in the days of the festival and the organization will provide all the details.

Foreign films will be screened in the original version with Italian subtitles.
For films starring in languages other than english, the participant must provide the festival with a copy subtitled in english.

The Festival Management will edit the catalogue of the selected works.

6. JURY
The jury will be composed of qualified industry experts and will award the following prizes:

7. PROMOTION OBLIGATIONS
Any form of promotion of the work following the publication of the program by the Festival must, by commitment expressed by the owners of the work, indicate the participation in the International Imago Film Festival with the official logo provided by IMAGO.

The winning works must also mention the recognition received according to the official graphics arranged and provided by IMAGO.

8. GENERAL RULES
The request for admission and, subsequently, participation in the Festival implies the prior unconditional acceptance of these Regulations.

The Festival Management reserves the right to take autonomous decisions regarding matters not provided for by the Regulations.

Shipping costs are always borne by the participants. Copies received will not be returned.
