- Section 1. International and
Section 2. National Feature, more than 46 minutes, aimed at children with different contents alluding to children and the family with themes suggested as: Peace and coexistence; The rescue of the game and the traditional values; Respect for difference and inclusion; culture; Sexuality and education among other aspects.

Documentary, fiction, animation and experimental films can be involved.

- Section 3. International Prize and Section 4. National Prize for children with different contents referring to children and family, not exceeding 45 minutes. Documentaries, fiction, animation and experimental films with themes similar to those discussed in the previous section may be used.

- Section 5. Special for productions made by children and youth up to the age of 17: Documentary, fiction, animation and experimental short films, with open themes.

The International Festival of Children and Youth Film CALIBELULA, FICIJCALIBELULA - is created through a group of friends who love cinema, who see the need to generate new exhibition and training spaces, for a very special audience that is children and young people .

The purpose is to train audiences through cinematographic audiovisual material made by and for children, youth and adults that promotes conflict resolution and peaceful coexistence through the construction of values ​​and principles.

Generate new exhibition alternatives that consolidate processes of formation and creation expressed in the production and audiovisual realization, with understanding and critical sensitivity, trying with this to involve from an early age this target population through the cinema as an artistic expression.

This Festival is a meeting place for the filmmakers, their works and the children's audience as well as a point of formation for young audiences, teachers and professionals of the area, making the Festival a promoter of reflection on the audiovisual media and the role they play with our children.

The Festival has three competitive sections:

- Official Feature Film Competition involving feature films, fiction, documentaries, national and international experimental films.

- Official short film competition in which medium and short fiction films, documentaries, national and international experimental films participate.

- Official Competition of New Formats Libelulit @ s- with audiovisual productions between one and 15 minutes made by children between five and 12 years of age and young people between 13 and 18 years of age.
