Festival start: 08 November 2024      Festival end: 24 November 2024

Cortos en Grande Short Film Festival is an event organized by Fundación Viart and Balmaceda Arte Joven that seeks to promote young creation and give a new opportunity to new generations of filmmakers, highlighting and rewarding their work and talent. Its main objective is to be a platform for dissemination and real support for the development of emerging cinema, providing its filmmakers with a space for the presentation and development of their artistic proposals.

International Competition:
- Best Shortfilm
- Jury Price
- Special Mention

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

First: Filmmakers from anywhere in the world (except Chile) can apply for short fiction, documentary and animation films made between July 2022 and June 2024.

Second: Each filmmaker can apply for one or more works, these can have been financed by public and/or private funds and their duration cannot exceed 30 minutes, including credits.

Third: The call for entries will be open until Sunday 30 June 2024, through the single application form available on the Festhome platform.

Fourth: In case of being selected, the filmmakers commit themselves to deliver a digital copy in high resolution and diffusion materials (still photo, director's photo, producer's photo, trailer, social networks), to support the communication of the Festival's activities.

Fifth: Cortos en Grande plans for this year to be a hybrid, so all short films must have the possibility of being screened in person and online.

Sixth: The jury will be empowered to declare any or all of the above-mentioned categories void. The Audience Award will be defined by online and in-person votes.

Seventh: Cortos en Grande will not return the material, and reserves the right to use complete works and/or fragments of the selected videos for the diffusion of the official competition and for the subsequent diffusion of the event and in the next editions of the festival.

Eighth: By submitting the application, it is understood that the present rules are accepted. Any violation of these rules automatically disqualifies the short film in question.
