Filmfest homochrom is the LGBT festival in Germany’s gay capital Cologne and in Dortmund (the biggest city in the metropolitan area Rhine-Ruhr).

Filmfest homochrom is one of the youngest LGBT film festival in Germany, but it is already one of the biggest, too. That’s why we are giving our best to establish an outstanding programme.

We are very honoured and proud that audiences have heartily embraced our first film festivals, and that we were able to show so many great premieres (about 70% of the films were German premieres in 2014).

Filmfest homochrom has the audience awards Chromie in the categories feature film and short film(s).

Films should have a clear LGBT content (lesbian, gay, bi, trans*), at best not be older than two years and all rights should be cleared.

All genres, lengths or styles are welcome.

Films that are neither German nor English-speaking should have German or English subtitles.
