Welcome to the 12th annual Addis International Film Festival (AIFF). For the last eleven years AIFF has provided new and experienced filmmakers from around the world an opportunity to showcase their work, interact with other aspiring filmmakers, and network among industry professionals. After last year's success, the 12th Edition of the festival is scheduled to take place from May 1 to May 6, 2018.

Awards will be given in the following categories:

Young Film Maker category: Ethiopian film makers (male and female) under the age of 30 can submit their films under this category and compete for ‘AIFF Young Filmmaker of the Year Award’

Women Filmmakers Category: Ethiopian women film makers of any age can submit their short and feature films under this category to compete for ‘AIFF Woman Filmmaker of the Year Award’

AIFF is now accepting film submissions until March 15, 2018.

REQUIREMENTS:

The list of selected films will be published on the festival website (www.addisfilmfestival.org) and unless otherwise requested, all information contained on the entry form will be made public on the official festival website: www.addisfilmfestival.org

Once a film has been selected it cannot be withdrawn from the festival program during the event.

During the entire duration of the festival none of the films invited may be shown outside the festival's official theaters before its official screening.

Submission of films to the AIFF indicates acceptance of the festival rules, regulations, and submission guidelines.
