The Work in Progress section of the Huesca International Film Festival invites short films from Ibero-American countries that are in an advanced stage of post-production. Projects should be between 5 and 20 minutes long and must not have been commercially released or screened at other festivals. Short films of all genres are accepted, including fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, fantasy, or horror.

Applications opened on January 14, 2026, and will close on February 12, 2026. Selected projects will be presented during the Work in Progress sessions at the festival, which will take place from June 5 to 13, 2026, with the short film presentations scheduled for June 11, 2026. This program aims to provide visibility, guidance, and networking opportunities for filmmakers who want to showcase their works prior to their final release.

The call is international, focusing on Ibero-American countries, and the festival takes place in Huesca, Spain. It offers filmmakers a valuable chance for professional feedback, support, and exposure within a prestigious festival setting.
