SHORT FILM COMPETITION

1. All short films produced between November 1, 2025, and October 30, 2026, are eligible.

2. Each director or producer may submit as many films as they wish. Acceptable genres include horror, gore, fantasy, violence, horror comedy, horror documentary, genre animation, and fake trailers.

3. Short films must not exceed 20 minutes in length.

4. Short films must be submitted through FESTHOME.

5. The submission deadline is October 31, 2026.

6. A minimum of 10 short films will be selected from the submitted films for a single official competition, which will be eligible for the 2026 BADTASTE awards for Best Short Film. In addition, entries will be eligible for the following special mentions: Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Original Score, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Makeup Effects, Most Dramatic Short Film, Most Gory Short Film, and Best Fake Trailer.

7- The awards will consist of trophies or certificates.

8- The organizers reserve the right to use some images from the short film for festival promotion.
