FEATURE FILMS

The Official Section. All feature films whose content might be considered as belonging to such the horror or fantastic genre can take part in the competition.

SHORT FILMS

Participation in the competition is on an international level.

Only one work per director will be accepted. Short films must not exceed 20 minutes in length (including credits).

All Short films must have been produced after January 1st 2024.

All films must be presented in their original language, with spanish subtitles. By "original language" is meant the language in which a film is or will be exhibited in its country of origin.

1. THEME

The theme of short films and / or feature films will be horror, fantasy, thriller and / or suspense.

2. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ENTRANTS

Participation in the contest is open and any amateur or professional person of any nationality can participate in it.

3. SUBMISSION PERIOD

The works may be submitted only by the Festhome website, within the dates indicated therein.

4. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WORKS

The shorts will have a maximum duration of 15 minutes.

The films will have a minimum duration of 60 minutes.

They can be done with any type of audiovisual technique (animation, mobile, video camera, digital video, cinema, 4k, ...).

Those selected will be asked for a copy in DCP for the screening.

It is mandatory that all short films and feature films have Spanish subtitles. Unless the language in which it is performed is Spanish.

Works will not be accepted where the authors put music that is not original for the film or that does not have their exploitation rights.

6. THE JURY

The jury will be made up of film professionals, critics and representatives or from the organization or culture.

7. SELECTION CRITERIA

The selection of the films will be made by the 3 programmers of the Festival, valuing the relationship with the theme of Fantboi, artistic quality, creativity and originality of the work.

8. SELECTION SYSTEM

After the selection of the films, a laurel will be delivered from the first edition of the Fantboi, in addition to informing all participants if they have been selected or not.

There will be both official selection and films out of competition.

9. DELIVERY OF prizes AND PROJECTION

Physical prizes will be given that in the case of not being able to collect the trophy in person, it would be sent to your address or address indicated by the winner.

The selected short films and feature films will be shown in sessions from June 19 to June 22, 2024, dates on which the festival is celebrated. The organization will decide the order and date of projection. Likewise, it will be notified, in all the means available to the organization, the schedule and days of their projection.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The presentation of a short film or feature film involves, by the participant, the non-exclusive transfer of the material to the organizing entities for use in the different scheduled activities of the festival. As well as having the possibility of an online version during the week of the festival.

12. ACCEPTANCE OF THE BASES
The presentation to this contest implies, on the part of the participants, the knowledge and acceptance of the present bases and the decision and modification of the jury decision.
