The International and Latin American Documentary Film Festival, DOCA 2021 will take place in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, from December 1 to December 5, 2021 in person and virtually

The Festival will award the following prizes:
• Best International Feature Film Award.
• Best Latin American Feature Film Award
• Best National Feature Film Award
• Best International, National and Latin American Short Film Award
• 2 Mentions from the Jury in each category
Audience award for each category

Rules and Regulations of the 2nd International and Latin American Documentary Film Festival, DOCA 2021. For our audiovisual sovereignty, let’s rebel the screens.

The International and Latin American Documentary Film Festival, DOCA 2021, will take place in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, from December 1 to December 5, 2021 in live and virtual mode.

1-CATEGORIES OF THE COMPETITION
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION: international documentary feature films (over 60 min) that have been produced and / or released (whatever the medium) between January 2019 and March 2021 The limit to the number of works per participant is (1) one film, you must complete a Registration Form and respect the shipping instructions.

LATIN AMERICAN COMPETITION: feature films (over 60 min) documentary from Latin America that have been produced and / or released (whatever the medium) between January 2019 and March 2021 The limit to the number of works per participant is (1) a film, you must complete a Registration Form and respect the shipping instructions

NATIONAL COMPETITION: national documentary feature films (over 60 min) that have been produced and / or premiered (whatever the medium) between January 2019 and March 2021. 3-JURY
a) The jury will be made up of personalities from the audiovisual medium, the arts and national and / or international culture.
b) People who are directly related to the works in competition will be disqualified from being part of the jury.
c) The jury's decision is final

4-GENERAL CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION
The call for the entry of a feature film will be from September 15, 2021 to October 30, 2021.
All films must be presented in the original version and subtitled in Spanish. Any language in which the film is broadcast in its country of origin is considered the original version. Subtitling costs will be borne by the production of the film.
The films must be sent in accessible formats online and / or streaming (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.), they must be valid until October 31, 2021. No download links are allowed (example Wetranfer, Megaupload) up to this point

When we define the programming of the films, we will request a high definition file for the projection. We do suggest at this instance that you send the file through a download link.
 Participants will be notified by email as of October 30, 2021

5-BREACH OF REQUIREMENTS
The received works that do not comply with the general conditions of participation and/or the pre-selection requirements will not be registered.

6- ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS - ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS
Registration in the International and Latin American Documentary Film Festival, DOCA 2021 implies the acceptance of these rules and conditions and the transfer of the rights to screen the material presented for the purposes of disseminating this edition, as well as future editions to from the date of material selection.
Likewise, together with the signing of these bases and conditions, the owner (s) of the work accepts / n assign the rights of projection and reproduction of the same for the purposes of its exhibition at the DOCA Film Festival (in the national territory or abroad) as well as for its advertising dissemination.
The Festival will not pay, in any case, any fee caused by the sending of the copies.
Participation in the International Documentary Film Festival, DOCA 2021, implies that you agree with these regulations and prior compliance with the conditions for sending the material.
The artistic criteria for organizing the programming are those of the festival's sample commission and decisions in this regard will be final.
The Festival will not pay screening fee to any selected film.
The bases and conditions may be modified without prior notice.

7-RIGHTS OF THE PARTICIPATING WORKS
1) The participants declare that they are the only and real owners of the audiovisual works that are presented at the festival, both in case of being the author and of being the transferee of the same. In the event of falsehood in the sworn statement, because they are not holders of the same, the responsibility for any third-party claim will be exclusively with the participant who presents the work, without the Festival having anything to respond to against third parties.
2) The participants declare that they have all the rights involved in the work.
3) The participants declare that they leave the International and Latin American Documentary Film Festival, DOCA 2021, harmless for any claim regarding the ownership of the work and / or lack of authorization regarding the rights contained therein.
