The fourth edition of the Pila Audiovisual Festival (FAP), produced by the Municipality of Pila and organized by the Padre Adolfo Anastasio Municipal Film Theater, will be held in person in Pila from August 28 to 31, 2025.

This festival aims to stimulate and facilitate meetings between members of the cinematography, promote the exhibition, production and reflection on audiovisual production in our locality, generate zonal ties, and present films of all genres, accompanied by their representatives, to
contribute to the development of culture and the progress and dissemination of the audiovisual industry.

The following prizes will be awarded:

- Best National Short Film (Argentina).
- Best International Short Film.
- Audience Award.

ARTICLE 1

The Fourth Pila Audiovisual Festival (FAP), produced by the Municipality of Pila and organized by the Padre Adolfo Anastasio Municipal Film Theater, will be held in person in Pila from August 28 to 31, 2025.

This festival aims to stimulate and facilitate encounters between members of the film industry, promote the exhibition, production, and reflection on audiovisual production in our city, build regional ties, and present films of all genres, accompanied by their representatives, to contribute to the development of culture and the progress and dissemination of the audiovisual industry.


ARTICLE 2

Film submissions in all categories are free and open to national and international short films of all genres.

Productions cannot be made before 2024. Films made from 2024 onward are accepted. (Productions that have participated in previous editions will not be admitted.)

Films directly linked to a member of the Festival Selection Committee will not be eligible to participate in the competition.

Films must be submitted by July 4, 2025.

ARTICLE 3
The 4th edition of the FAP will be divided into a National Competition (Argentina) and an International Competition, both for Short Films.


ARTICLE 4

To submit a film for the Festival selection, please complete the following steps:

Registration closes on July 4, 2025.

4.1. This registration is open to all audiovisual creators over 18 years of age. If not, they must be supervised by an adult.

4.2. Short films may not exceed 30 (thirty) minutes, including credits.

4.3. Films must be submitted in their original language. If the film is not in Spanish, it must be subtitled exclusively.

4.4. Works may have been originally produced in any format.

4.5. Up to two works per audiovisual creator will be accepted.

The Festival office is located at 867 San Martín Street, Pila, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina; Tel. (542241) 15-499506. This information is provided for any applicable purposes, but it is expressly clarified that the entire registration process will be exclusively online.


ARTICLE 5

The list of selected films will be announced on the official social media channels of the Pila Municipal Film Theater and privately to the contact email address of the film.

Once the Festival has announced the selection of a film and the producer or their representative has received a confirmation email confirming their participation in the FAP, the film cannot be withdrawn. The producer or their designated representative must submit the requested film and promotional materials before the deadline, as indicated in these Regulations and in the Registration Form. These materials will be used for the catalog, website, press, advertising, and publicity regarding the film's participation in the Festival.

5.1. If they have not submitted them through the Registration Form, selected participants must email three images for the catalog (.jpg format, minimum quality 300 dpi), a poster image (quality 300 dpi), a trailer, synopsis, and technical information for the film.

5.2. The Festival screening will be in DCP format. Therefore, the copy of the selected film may be delivered in DCP format to the address indicated by the Festival organizers, or for later transfer, VIDEO WITH AUDIO – 1920 x 1080 – H.264.

Alternatively, with the link obtained upon entry, provided that the requested technical requirements are met. Submission in other formats requires the Festival's authorization.


ARTICLE 6

6.1. The competition jury will be composed of national cultural figures, who will be responsible for selecting the winning short film(s).

6.2. Festival officials may be present during the Jury's deliberations, but will not participate in them nor have any vote.

6.3. No one with any interest in the production or exploitation of a film in competition may be a member of the jury.

6.4. The Jury's votes will be secret. The members of the Jury firmly agree not to publicly express their opinions regarding the films submitted for consideration before the official announcement of the awards.

6.5. The decisions made by the Jury are final.


ARTICLE 7

7.1. The following awards will be given:
Best National Short Film.
Best International Short Film.

7.2. If different categories are created, the Best Short Film in its category will also be awarded.

The categories, if any, will be:

- Documentary
- Fiction
- Music Video
- Animation

7.3. The Jury may award up to two (2) Special Mentions, indicating the reasons why the recipients deserve these mentions.

7.4. The Jury may award Special Mentions to different disciplines if it deems appropriate: such as Best Actor/Actress, Best Production, Best Screenplay, etc.

7.5. The Audience Award will also be awarded.

7.6. No award may be left vacant.

7.7. All films entered will receive a Certificate of Participation. In addition to the certificate, the winners will receive a statuette and a certificate of recognition.
The winner will also receive a cash prize, which will be announced closer to the festival date.


ARTICLE 8

8.1. The producers and distributors of films participating in the Competitions agree to include the phrase "Official Selection of the Pila Audiovisual Festival" in all their advertising and press materials, using the Festival logo.

8.2. The producers and distributors of films that win awards agree to highlight them in all their advertising and press materials, using the Festival logo.

8.4. Any prize awarded and not received at the Closing Ceremony may be collected at the Festival offices (or wherever and as indicated depending on the circumstances) up to six months after the end of the event.

8.5. To claim the cash prize, you must have an Argentine bank account, as well as an address where the physical prizes can be sent if you are unable to attend the event.


ARTICLE 9

Audiovisual creators agree that the FAP may use their material for screening, publicity, and festival promotion.


ARTICLE 10

Material submitted to the FAP for selection will remain in the possession of the Festival organizers and will become part of the Festival's video library.
