Fantpals - Festival de Cinema Fantàstic de Pals ()

The FANTPALS, Pals Fantastic Film Festival is a project that aims to spread fantastic genre cinema such as horror, fantasy, science fiction, animation, comedy and adventure in the Empordà region of Pals, Baix Empordà (Girona).

PREMIOS CORTOMETRAJES

- PREMIO DEL JURADO al mejor cortometraje (otorgado por los miembros del jurado del festival)

- PREMIO DEL PÚBLICO (otorgado por los miembros del público asistentes al festival)

Estos dos premios constan de un trofeo y un lote de productos del Baix Empordà.*

*debido a las limitaciones de presupuesto no se puede garantizar que la entrega de los premios y el lote de productos puedan enviarse por correo, quedando a disposición del ganador en la Oficina de Turismo de Pals.

PARTICIPATION
Participation in the festival implies acceptance of the following bases:

REGISTRATION OF WORKS AND PARTICIPATION
The registration of works is free and will be done through the Festhome digital platform.

The registration period for the works will begin on February 15, 2024 and end on June 14, 2024.


REQUIREMENTS
The works submitted to the competition must be original and have been produced between 2022 and 2024. The works submitted to the competition must not have been commercially released in Spain.

The theme of the works will be exclusively of the fantasy genre (Horror, science fiction, fantasy...)

The duration of the work must be a maximum of 20 minutes.

If the work is in english, it must have subtitles in Spanish. National short films, if selected for competition, must send a copy with english subtitles.

VIEWING OF WORKS
All works should arrive via viewing and/or download links via the aforementioned platforms. The arrival of a DVD/Blu-ray or USB will not be accepted.

SELECTION OF WORKS
Selected works must send:

- A private viewing link with password (vimeo or similar)
- A copy in high quality HD 1920x1080 (H264) mp4 format.

JURY
The jury will be made up of personalities and professionals from the world of cinematography and culture both from the Baix Empordà region and nationally.

awards
The jury prizes and the public prize will have a trophy but they will not be financially endowed, they will have a lot of typical products from the Baix Empordà. Due to the limited budget of the festival, the delivery of the prize and the batch of products to the winners cannot be guaranteed. In any case, these will be available at the Pals Tourist Office and can be collected by presenting the relevant documentation that proves that you are the winner of the competition.
