The XII International Film Festival of the Border is organized by the Associação Pró Santa Thereza e Urcamp, promoted by the Municipal Department of Culture of the City of Bagé.
It will be held in Bagé, on the Brazil/Uruguay border, from December 17th to 19th, 2021.
Democratization and access to audiovisual production, as well as training activities aimed at the economic and social development of the region, are the main focuses of the Fronteira International Film Festival. Its short and feature film program is free and participatory, with an official jury and popular jury awards. After a hiatus due to the pandemic, we returned with the necessary adaptations and restriction measures for the in-person enjoyment of the event.
International Feature Film Show:
- Best movie;
- Special Jury Award.
International Short Film Show:
- Best movie;
- Special Jury Award.
Regional Show:
- Best movie;
- Special Jury Award.
- Best actor;
- Best actress;
- Best Photography;
- Best Assembly;
- Best Screenplay;
- Better Direction.
The Festival has a cultural and educational character, being competitive in the following shows:
a) “International Competitive Exhibition of Short Films”;
Film screening with a maximum duration of 15 minutes of any nationality, made from 2019 onwards, spoken or subtitled in Portuguese or Spanish.
b) “Regional Competitive Show”;
Short films with up to 15 minutes in length, made in the Brazil/Uruguay/Argentina border strip, may compete in this category.
c) “International Feature Films Competitive Show”;
Films, with a minimum duration of 50 minutes, made from 2019, spoken or subtitled in Portuguese or Spanish, will participate.
The XII International Film Festival of the Frontier will be awarded through the presentation of trophies.

The result will be announced at the Closing and Award Ceremony of the XII International Film Festival of the Border, which will take place on December 19, 2021.
REGISTRATIONS
a) Entries must be carried out from November 10th to December 3rd, 2021. More information at https://www.facebook.com/festivaldafronteira
b) The films will be selected by curatorship among productions made in any medium from the year 2019.
c) The short films and feature films entered cannot have been shown in previous editions of the Fronteira International Film Festival.
d) Entries may be carried out by a representative of the work, who may be a natural or legal person.
e) Each candidate can submit as many titles as they want, considering that only one title per candidate can be selected.
f) The decisions of the judges will be irrevocable and the commissions will be dissolved as soon as the trophies ceremony takes place and the winners are announced.
g) Participation in the XII International Film Festival of the Border implies acceptance and compliance with all the terms and conditions established in these Regulations.
h) Entries for the International Short Film Exhibition and the International Feature Film Exhibition will be made through the online platforms https://festhome.com/f/cinema-da-frk).
i) Registration for the Regional Exhibition will be made physically, on a pen drive or DVD and delivered to the Headquarters of the Journalism Course at URCAMP-Bagé, at Av. Tupi Silveira, 2099, from 14:00-22:00.
