AWARDS FOR THE CALL FOR THE NATIONAL FEATURE FILM COMPETITION “ÓPERA PRIMA”, OF THE 6TH PILAR DE LA HORADADA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL.

“PILAR DE ORO” FOR THE BEST FEATURE FILM ‘OPERA PRIMA’, endowed with €700 in cash + statuette.

RULES FOR THE CALL FOR THE SHORT FILMS CONTEST OF THE 6TH FESTIVAL PILAR DE LA HORADADA INTERNATIONAL CINEMA.

VI EDITION “PILAR awards” OF THE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY FOR SHORT FILM.

1.- The scope of the contest is international. All those producers or directors who
own the rights to the works they present. Each participant can present as many works as
want, in any language, if it is not Spanish, they must be subtitled in this language. registration is free.

2.- Short films may be presented exclusively from the following genres: fiction, animation,
documentary or experimental. Advertising, promotional, informative or informative genres are not allowed informative, “fashion films” or video clips. The duration of the same will not exceed 30 minutes, credits included.

3.- Short films produced in the years 2021 and 2022 will be admitted, which have not been submitted to no previous edition of this Contest.

4.- The short films submitted to the competition may not be published on any Internet portal of
free viewing.

5.- The call and registration period for short films opens on June 12, 2022, closing the
admission of works on September 10 of the same year.

6.- The shipment will be made online, through the online platform, Festhome.

7.- A Selection Committee made up of professionals from the media and members of the organization's team will be in charge of selecting, among all the short films presented, those that will participate in the "OFFICIAL SECTION", which will compete for prizes in two different categories, national and international, and will be projected during the days of the Festival in the projection room designated by the organization.

The same Selection Committee will choose from among all the short films presented, those that will be part of the of the competitive section called "ANNUAL SECTION", and will be projected in the periodic sessions that will take place throughout the year 2023, framed within the activities of the Festival that intend to
give it continuity and activity throughout the year, in the projection room determined by the organization.

The decision of the Selection Committee is final. The selection will be made public in November 2022.

The Festival will inform all those selected in writing, through the email provided in the
registration, the result of the selections, with a minimum period of three weeks before the start of the contest, in addition to publishing the selection on its official website, being able to previously broadcast on networks social, for promotional purposes, those selected progressively communicating it to them in the same time of said publication.

The Festival will facilitate transportation from the closest train, bus or airport station to Pilar de la Drilled to the projection room, so that the creator or representative of the selected work can attend the presentation of said work on the day of its exhibition to the public.

The selected works must be sent in digital format suitable for projection, along with the rest promotional material for the short film.

8.- The Official Jury will be made up of professionals from the world of culture, audiovisual arts and the cinematographic field and will be announced on the Festival's official website.

9.- The national short films included in the OFFICIAL SECTION will compete for the “PILAR DE LA awards COMUNIDAD VALENCIANA AL SHORT FILM 2022”, the international short films included in the OFFICIAL SECTION will opt for the "INTERNATIONAL PILAR AWARD 2022", the short films included in the ANNUAL SECTION will compete for the "2022 LUCERNA AWARD".

The Official Jury will award the following prizes, with four nominations per category:

 “PILAR DE ORO” FOR THE BEST SHORT FILM, endowed with €1,000 in cash + statuette.

 “SILVER PILAR” FOR THE BEST SHORT FILM, endowed with €500 in cash + statuette.

 “GOLDEN PILLAR” FOR THE BEST DIRECTOR, endowed with €500 in cash + statuette.

 “SILVER PILLAR” FOR THE BEST DIRECTOR, endowed with €250 in cash + statuette.

 “PILAR DE ORO” FOR THE BEST SCREEN, endowed with €500 in cash + statuette.

 “SILVER PILAR” FOR THE BEST SCREEN, endowed with €250 in cash + statuette.

 “PILAR DE ORO” FOR THE BEST ORIGINAL MUSIC, endowed with €500 in cash + statuette.

 “SILVER PILAR” FOR THE BEST DIRECTION OF PHOTOGRAPHY, endowed with €250 in equipment rental films in the company "HARMONICA RENTAL" + statuette.

 “GOLDEN PILLAR” FOR THE BEST ACTOR, endowed with €500 in cash + statuette.

 “SILVER PILLAR” FOR THE BEST ACTOR, endowed with €250 in cash + statuette.

 “GOLDEN PILLAR” FOR THE BEST ACTRESS, endowed with €500 in cash + statuette.

 “SILVER PILLAR” FOR THE BEST ACTRESS, endowed with €250 in cash + statuette.

 “PILAR INTERNATIONAL AWARD” FOR THE BEST INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM, endowed with a statuette.

SPECIAL prizes (NOT AWARDED BY THE OFFICIAL JURY):

– “LUCERNA AWARD 2022” for the best Short Film of the ANNUAL SECTION 2021, endowed with €400 in cash + statuette.

– “PUBLIC AWARD” for the best Short Film, endowed with €400 in cash + statuette.
The winners will be announced at the PILAR 2022 awards Gala, which will be held on November 19, 2022 in Pilar de la Horadada (Alicante).

10.- The nominees for the awards will be invited by the organization to the Closing Gala and award ceremony.

Pilar awards 2022. To facilitate your attendance, the expenses of two nights of accommodation will be covered (Friday
November 18 and Saturday 19), full board on Saturday November 19 (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and, if required, transfer service from the nearest bus station, train or airport to
the celebration of the awards Ceremony. So there should be representation of the technical team
or artistic, preferably the nominated person, of the short films that are eligible for a prize, in any of the categories.

11.- The decision of the Official Jury is final. In case there were no participants, follow-up was lower than expected, or the quality of the works was not the minimum required by the Jury, the prizes could declare desert. Likewise, if any of the winners does not meet the requirements established in these bases, the prizes corresponding to them could be declared void.

12.- The transfer of exhibition rights will be exclusively for the projections included in the
Official and Annual Sections. All award-winning short films will be screened again at an additional session after the Festival, on a date to be determined, in order to publicize the
to the awardees. The producers and directors of the short films authorize, by the fact of registering, the promotional actions of the festival allowing the projection of a maximum of three minutes of their works presented for dissemination in any communication medium, with the sole purpose of advertising the Festival
in any of its editions.

13.- The award-winning short films in each edition may be screened later, within
future programming of the Festival, in order to recall past editions in shows such as the
called “Clásicos de Cortopilar”, always in sessions with free admission and non-profit.

14.- The material received from the short films that are selected will be archived in the
Festival newspaper library.

15.- The participants are responsible for the short films presented not being subject to any
legal claim and are within the provisions of the Intellectual Property Law. In any case, the organization of the festival declines any responsibility for the possible illicit content of the works received.

16.- The Jury may award any honorable mention not specified in these rules and not
will maintain any feedback about the works presented or their decisions with the participants, who, by the fact of being, they fully accept the bases of this contest.

17.- The Festival will carry out communication, publicity and promotion tasks in the best possible way of all the events, activities and programming through its official website: www.cortopilar.com and social networks, Instagram: @cortopilar, Facebook: www.facebook.com/cortopilar, as well as advertising on regional media of television, radio, press, etc.

18.- Participation in the contest implies full acceptance of all the sections of these rules, as well such as the resolution, by the organization, of any problem not foreseen in them.

19.- Cash prizes will be subject to the corresponding tax withholdings.

20.- The organization reserves the right to modify these bases if necessary,
communicating any relevant changes to the participants. The organization reserves the right to modify the dates of the festival if, for reasons unrelated to it, it is forced to do so.

RULES FOR THE CALL FOR THE NATIONAL FEATURE FILMS COMPETITION “ÓPERA
PRIMA”, OF THE 6TH PILAR DE LA HORADADA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL.

1.- The scope of the contest is national. All those Spanish production companies or directors may participate that they possess the rights and due legal control over the works they present.
All those feature films of Spanish nationality that constitute the first management job. Those who direct their first feature film alone may participate, although have previously participated in a co-direction.

The works will be presented in their original language, if it is not Spanish, they must be subtitled in this language. The
registration is free.

2.- Exclusively fiction feature films may be submitted. Documentary genres are not allowed,
advertising, promotional, informative or informative, "fashion films" or video clips. The duration of the themselves will be greater than 60 minutes.

3.- Feature films produced in the years 2021 and 2022 will be admitted, which have not been presented to any previous edition of this Contest.

The registered feature films may have been premiered or presented at other festivals, but may not be published in any free viewing internet portal.

Only one feature film per director will be admitted to the competition. The production company can present as many works
as you wish.

4.- The call and registration period for feature films opens on June 12, 2022, closing the
admission of works on September 1 of the same year.

5.- The shipment will be made online, through the Festhome platform.

 “PILAR DE ORO” FOR THE BEST FEATURE FILM ‘OPERA PRIMA’, endowed with €700 in cash + statuette.

The winner will be announced at the PILAR 2022 awards Gala, which will be held on the 19th
November 2022 in Pilar de la Horadada (Alicante).

9.- The nominees will be invited by the organization to the Closing Gala and Pilar 2022 awards ceremony.
