We want to position Miscellaneous GLBT International Film Festival of Panama, as the best choice for film screenings with issues related to sexual diversity.

We will have a jury that qualify the best feature film which he will be giving a cash prize. For the best documentary and short film audience award will have a public recognition.

DIVERSO will take place in Panama City, from Monday, October 20 to Friday, October 25, 2025.

All films that have issues related to sexual and/or gender diversity (LGBTIQ+) as their thematic and exclusive axis, shot in film or video, may participate.

In order for a film to participate in DIVERSO, it must be sent before July 31, 2025 (deadline in any of the emails described below):

The registration form duly completed and signed by its director or producer; A copy of the film
(preferably subtitled in Spanish) in digital format; Works that are in a language other than Spanish must provide a list of dialogues in Spanish, English, Italian or French for translation and subtitles; Photographs of the film, the director and other press material.

The list of selected films will be made public on August 29, 2025

The films selected for the international competitive exhibition will compete in the
Best Fiction Feature Film category (films with a duration of more than 60 minutes).

DIVERSO may use up to 90 seconds of images from the film for promotion in various media. Screening copies and any other materials will be sent to the following email address:

The screening copy must arrive at our headquarters before July 31, 2025.

Incomplete, poor condition or poor quality screening copies will not be accepted.

DIVERSO will not bear the costs of shipping the screening copies from their place of origin to Panama, they will be borne by the person who presents each film. To avoid problems with taxes and customs, the following will be put in the packaging of the projection copy to be sent: CULTURAL ACTIVITY WITH NO COMMERCIAL VALUE.

By registering the work, DIVERSO is authorized to exhibit it in Panama and also in the locations where the festival is presented in an itinerant manner, during the years 2025 and 2026.

In case of loss or damage of the material during your stay in Panama, DIVERSO is only responsible for the replacement of the virgin material. Likewise, it will not be responsible for any damage or loss that occurs during its transfer.

DIVERSO will award recognition by the international or national jury 2025.



These Regulations are published in English and Spanish. In case of doubt, the Spanish version is the valid one.

The recognition will be made public on October 25, 2025, during the closing ceremony of the Festival.

Participation in DIVERSO implies full acceptance of these rules and the decisions that the Festival Organization team may take.
