Festival start: 25 July 2026      Festival end: 25 July 2026

Across Cultures Film Festival is a cultural film event based in Bamberg, Germany, dedicated to stories that connect people across cultures.

We focus on films that explore identity, migration, belonging, and shared human experiences between different worlds.

Our mission is to create a space where filmmakers and audiences meet on common ground—through cinema.

The first edition will be presented as an intimate in-person screening (Edition 0), featuring a curated selection of short films followed by an open audience discussion.

We welcome independent filmmakers, students, and emerging voices from all backgrounds.

Because stories bring us closer.

In our first edition, we aim to recognize meaningful storytelling through the following awards:

Best Short Film
Best Cross-Cultural Story
Audience Award

Winners will receive an official digital certificate and promotion across our social media platforms.

Future editions will include expanded categories and monetary prizes.

Films must be submitted by the creator or with full permission from the rights holder.

Only short films are accepted (maximum 20 minutes).

Films must include English subtitles if not in English.

All genres are accepted, with preference for films exploring cultural connection, identity, or migration.

The festival is non-commercial; selected films will be screened once during the live event.

Filmmakers retain full ownership of their work.

By submitting, you grant permission for your film to be screened and for excerpts/stills to be used for promotional purposes.

The festival team reserves the right to curate and select films based on its vision.
