1. OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION:
The main objective, aside from showcasing all participating creators and production companies, is to promote this Festival and amplify the cultural scene in the Carabanchel district of Madrid.
We also aim to encourage amateur short films, emphasizing the concept rather than the final technical quality.
2. REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMITTING SHORT FILMS:
- Submitted short films must have a minimum duration of 1 minute and a maximum duration of 15 minutes.
- For the selection of works, preference will be given to short films not previously screened at any festival, although this is not a prerequisite.
- Short films made specifically for this festival and related to Sala Tarambana or Carabanchel will also be considered favorably, although this is not a prerequisite.
- At least one representative of the short film must attend the screening; attendance by several members of the team is encouraged.
3. COMPETITION METHODOLOGY OR SYSTEM:
- The selected production companies will screen their films on their assigned date (during July 2026, on the 16th, 17th, 18th, or 19th), and a member of the team must be available to present the screenings. Attendance by as many team members as possible will be considered an advantage.
- Screenings will take place at 8:30 PM.
- Several short films will be shown each evening. Each screening will be open to the public at a price of €7 per person.
- The company will not be entitled to any percentage of the box office revenue.
- All screenings will be held at Sala Tarambana, which includes promotion and ticket sales. Production company members will receive an invitation (maximum two) for the member or members who will be presenting the short film. - There will be a Gala on July 22, 2026 (8:30 pm) where the awards will be presented (which cannot be left unawarded). The Gala will be a spectacle in itself, and at least one representative from each production company must attend. The Gala is free of charge until capacity is reached, with priority given to the short film teams.
