Children's Film Hour is organised by Bodhak Studio and seeks to create a welcoming space where young audiences can experience meaningful cinema from India and around the world.

The festival dedicated to stories for, about, and inspired by children. The festival aims to celebrate imagination, curiosity, courage, friendship, and the many experiences that shape childhood.

We invite filmmakers from around the world to submit short films, documentaries, animation films, and live-action works that engage young audiences through meaningful storytelling.

Whether heartwarming, adventurous, educational, or thought-provoking, we are looking for films that entertain while encouraging creativity, empathy, and discovery.

The selected films will be screened as part of a specially curated festival programme designed for children, families, educators, and film enthusiasts.

The selected films will be sent official selection laurel.

Thank you for your interest in Children’s Film Hour, an intimate film screening series curated by Bodhak Studio. Please go through the following rules before submitting your film:

1. Eligibility

• Open to filmmakers from all over the world.

• All genres and languages are welcome. Non-English/non-Hindi films must have subtitles in English.

• English-language films are encouraged to include subtitles where possible.

• Films must be suitable for children and family audiences.

• Short films, documentaries, animation films, wildlife films, comics and live-action films are welcome.


2. Submission Format

• The film must not be available on YouTube/Vimeo or anywhere on the internet. Send us a password-protected link for viewing and selection.

• Once selected, we will get in touch with you for the film.

• Send in 1080p HD (.mp4 or .mov).

• The film must be your original work. You must own all rights to music, visuals, and the content.

• Plagiarised or AI-generated content will not be accepted.


4. Themes

We welcome films exploring themes such as:

• Friendship
• Family
• Adventure
• Environment and nature
• Creativity and imagination
• Education and learning
• Inclusion and diversity
• Childhood experiences and aspirations

5. Submission Requirement

• Films must be submitted through Festhome.

• Entries should include a synopsis, director's biography, and film stills/poster.

• Screening links must remain active throughout the selection period.



6. Selection Process

• Films will be selected by the Bodhak Studio curatorial team.

• The festival's programming decisions are final.

• Official Selection will be communicated via festhome notification. Selection of Screening will be notified via email.

• Neither submission nor Official selection guaranty the film will be screened.


7. Usage Rights

• By submitting, you give Bodhak Studio permission to:

o Screen your film at Children’s Film Hour twice.

o Use stills, posters, and excerpts/trailer for promotional purposes (Instagram, website, etc).

• No further use will be made without your written consent. Festival authority reserves the rights to change the date of the festival or postpond it.


8. What We Need After Selection

• HD copy of the film

• 1-2 film posters, 3-4 production stills, preview/trailer (30 sec to 1min)

• Director’s short bio and a short synopsis of the film.


9. Deadline

• Submission closes on 20th August 2026

• Event (2nd Edition): 14-15 Nov 2026


  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
