Launched in 2013, the LakeCity International Film Festival (LCIFF) held in Mumbai was founded to showcase the emerging talents and the leaders in contemporary film making, and aims to exhibit the most captivating and innovative content.

Festival Mission:
Serving as a Premier Film Festival, LCIFF's mission is to present quality films from around the world as well as support, recognize and honor indie film makers. These films will be organized thematically, in hopes of representing the full range of the human experience as reflected by our chosen filmmakers. LCIFF will also be a vital showcase for indie short film makers as the festival has a PSA Films Category in addition to its competitive sections revolving around a theme and have a strong social message.

Regole

PLEASE NOTE:

THE FESTIVAL WILL NOT ORGANISE AND OR REIMBURSE ANY TRAVEL / ACCOMMODATION FOR FILM MAKERS AND OR THEIR ARTISTS TO ATTEND THE FESTIVAL.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR SUBMISSION & PARTICIPATION:
The festival will not interact with anyone except the submitter and/ or the producer of the film. If any person - be it the actor, writer, director or any from the production crew tries to forcibly extract information about the status of the film from the festival authorities, the festival will have absolute rights to DISQUALIFY THE FILM from competition and/ or screening which you may kindly note. At the same time, the festival may take the decision to ban the production house completely from sending entries to the next editions of the festival.

The entry form / application will be considered only on receipt of Administrative film submission entry fee as mentioned above.

All entries must be sent to the LCIFF prepaid and insured for your own protection. Entry form, DVD, Synopsis, Posters, Publicity stills and other material should reach Festival office on or before the Final Closing Deadline - December 5, 2026.

3. COMPETITION FEATURE FILMS: (Open to all Directors across the Globe)
Films entered in the FEATURE FILM Section should be more than 70 mins and made / released between 1st April 2023 and 5th December 2026

4. COMPETITION SHORT FILMS/ DOCUMENTARY / ANIMATION FILMS
Films entered in the Competition Section must have a running length of not more than 45 mins.

5. GENERAL

5.1 Films not presenting sufficient technical qualities for good public screening can be refused by the Festival Director.

5.2 Subtitling is necessary and compulsory for films that are not in English language or in Hindi (Indian Language). Films without subtitles shall not be screened in the Festival.

5.3 The participants must ensure that they have the right to participate in the Lake City International Film Festival with regard to parties connected with the production / distribution of the participating film and / or other right holders/licenses.

5.4 Participation in the Festival implies acceptance of these and all Regulations as specified.

5.5 The Festival Director will decide all matters not expressly provided for in these regulations but in conformity with the provisions of the International Regulations for film festivals and its decisions shall be final and binding on all parties.

5.6 Entrants should inform the Festival Director by November 20th, 2021 about their participation, including the titles of films and the names and addresses of the directors, producers, production companies and world sales companies against each film titles.

NOTE: Festival Director, Programmer, Selection Panel and Jury shall determine selections and / or Award Winners at their sole discretion. LCIFF authorities at any time would not entertain any request pertaining to selection films and / or awards. Decision of the LCIFF festival authorities regarding all matters not expressly provided for in these rules and regulations or which require interpretation of the clauses mentioned above shall be final and binding to all parties.

The Festival is being organized under the aegis of Lake City International Film Festival by Eon Films, Qrius Films, Plus Publications and FilmCafe and with support from Indian Film Industry and film makers from around the world.
