Austin stands as one of the great cities for independent movie making and filmmakers in the U.S.. Adding to this tradition, Austin can now boast an international short film festival.

We believe that short form cinema and its creators should have their own premier film festival in Austin deserving similar recognition given to the feature film and its creators.

The Austin Short Film Fest, will showcase the best short films and its filmmakers from around the world.

CALL FOR ENTRIES

Please read the following submission requirement before you complete the online entry form.

2015 SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Films must have been completed after Jan. 1, 2014
All non-English films must have English sub-titles.
Films must be submitted via Online screeners.
Works-in-progress will be considered, provided they will be completed prior to the Festival.
Please do NOT send stills or press kits. If your film is selected we will ask you to email us a still image.
You may submit more than one film, but you must complete a separate entry form and pay entry fee for each film.

Regular Deadline: April 17, 2015
Extended Deadline: May 8, 2015
Late Deadline: May 29, 2015

ENTRY FEE
Shorts under 30 minutes, for each entry:
Regular Deadline: $43
Extended Deadline: $48
Late Deadline: $53
Shorts over 30 to 45 minutes, for each entry:
Regular Deadline: $47
Extended Deadline: $52
Late Deadline: $57

- Films will not be viewed without payment
- We do NOT accept checks
- All fees are non-refundable


SELECTION
Film selection for the festival will be made by the Festival Committee.
The entrant will be responsible for all shipping fees.
All filmmakers will be notified via email of acceptance.

ONLINE SCREENER
Save money on postage fees and avoid the hassle of producing, packaging, and mailing DVDs. Filmmakers can now submit their films online by providing us a Vimeo link and password. Pay entry fee online using your credit card, you do NOT need to mail us any physical materials.
