SEOUL BEST OF THE BEST ANIMATION FESTIVAL (0)

Seoul Best of the Best Animation Festival (SBAF) is organized by SBA Seoul Animation Center in cooperation with SICAF Organizing Committee.

All films in SBAF2015 BEST OF THE BEST section will be nominees for Audience Awards. The award winners will be decided by the Audience’s choice.

1-1 Qualification for Entry
Any short and feature animations may be entered. SBAF2015 BEST OF THE BEST has adopted the selective Competition System.

Only works coinciding with <1-2.> and never previously entered for selections at ANIMPACT can be taken into consideration. Each entrant declares to be the author or rights owner of film(s) in competition and to own all the literary, artistic and musical rights. Failure to obtain such rights will result in the work(s) being disqualified from competition.

1-2 Selective Competition
SBAF2015 BEST OF THE BEST has adopted the selective Competition System. Films from the 2014-2015 official selections of international film festivals will be submitted according to the selection criteria chosen by the organizer. But films that do not meet this condition can be picked up by the festival programmer after preview.

- The selection criteria for international festivals:
-The festival has been held continuously during the last 5 years.
-Consideration will be given regarding regional fairness and distribution.
- International film festivals selected by the organizer:
-Berlin International Film Festival, Germany
-Festival de Cannes, France.
-Venice Film Festival, Italy.
-Toronto International Film Festival, Canada.
-San Sebastian International Film Festival, Spain
-Tokyo International Film Festival, Japan

2. Submission

2-1 Deadline
Entry forms and supporting materials for the selection must reach the festival office by September 30, 2015

2-2 Entry Form (including the director's biography and filmography)
Only completed and signed entry forms will be accepted.

2-3 A Preview copy
A DVD or file (mp4, mov or avi) for selection (All entries in non-English languages must have English subtitles)

2-4 Supporting materials
- 3 images of major scenes (at least 6cm wide, 300 dpi)
- 1 or more photos of the director (at least 6cm X 8cm, 300 dpi)
- Text of dialogue and/or commentary in original language and English.

2-5 Additional materials (official poster, official trailer, making-of film and/or press kit) *if applicable

* All submission copies will be retained by SICAF Organizing Committee for use in our archive, for Korean Censorship purposes and for reference in programing SICAF.

3. Selection and Awards

3-1 Pre-selection
The pre-selection committee including the SICAF programmer and advisors is responsible for official selection decisions regarding all entries. When the committee has completed their work, all successful films will receive a formal invitation by October 12, 2015.

3-2 Awards
All films in SBAF2015 BEST OF THE BEST section will be nominees for Audience Awards. The award winners will be decided by the Audience’s choice.

4. Promotional Use

4-1 Publicity Use
Unless otherwise indicated on the entry form, the entrant grants the SICAF Organizing Committee the right to show on television, theater, internet and mobile media for publicity purposes only, up to 10% of the running time of his/her work to a maximum of three minutes (maximum 1 minute for short films).

4-2 Additional Screening
Unless otherwise indicated on the entry form, the entrants are considered to grant the SICAF Organizing Committee the right to screen his/her production in the "SBAF2015 BEST OF THE BEST" programs after the end of the festival. SICAF Organizing Committee can hold up to 2 screenings for non-commercial purposes in domestic events. In addition, any other proposed use outside of the festival will be referred, by the festival, to the producer for direct negotiation.

5. Acceptance of the Regulations
By submitting the entry form for SBAF2015 “BEST OF THE BEST” Festival, the entrant accepts, without reservation, the terms of the present regulations as stated in this document.
