Urban Films Festival 2021 ()

As part of the 16th edition of the Urban Films
Festival organized by the association RStyle,
and to be held in Paris which will take place from 7 to 10 October 2021, the association launches its call for entries until June 30,2021.

What is the urban film ? : ”Films devoted to the city and to all the practices and ways of life that come from it. Through urban films, true stories, whether somber or funny, find their common denominator in their scenery: the street, from Seoul to Rio, and passing by Seattle or Ouagadougou. The urban movies rediscover the city in a broad sense: history, dance, movement, community, streets cultures, sports, all of the aspects of the city and urban cultures are represented.”

The different categories that candidates can compete in are:

Documentary -Maximum duration: 17 minutes
Performance -Maximum duration: 7 minutes
Fiction -Maximum duration: 15 minutes
Animated Film -Maximum duration: 15 minutes
Out of competition -No limit duration

Films in foreign languages will have to be subtitled in French.

SUBJECT AND REGISTRATION

Participation in the Festival implies the express and unreserved acceptance of these regulations, in all their stipulations.

Participants may submit via www.festhome.com

or directly to the festival:
First, participants must fill out the online form on www.urbanfilmsfestival.com and a link download of the short film in HD 1920*1080.
If the film is selected, the applicant will be asked to provide a DCP video file by email uff.rstyle@gmail.com from two weeks after the announcement of the selected films.

SELECTION
The office of the festival will communicate the result of the selection during the month of September to the responsible for the film registration (producer, director, etc.)
The participants will then have to provide timely each elements asked for the festival selection. Charges transportation are the responsibility of the participant.

BROADCASTING AND EXPLOITATION
Location of the festival will be announced at a later date.
Videos in competition will possibly be screened in other events as part as the Urban Films Festival Itinerant, or in events aiming at promoting the Urban Films Festival. Similarly, the office of the Urban Films Festival reserves its rights to use the selected videos as part of the promotional campaign of the festival. By taking part to the official Urban Films Festival 2021 competition, you also allow the festival to archive and preserve your movie in its archival bank. Videos in competition will be accessible in viewing in the Urban Culture Library managed by RStyle.

RESPONSABILITY
The participant shall obtain all permits from all parties who have directly or indirectly taken part in the realization of the film and/or
who believe they have any right to argue against it, including right to the image, and will assume responsibility for any possible payments. The organizer disclaims any responsibility in case of dispute over the rights to the image and sound, the participant only will be responsible for them.
