Film Festival O is a new Online International genre based Film Festival, breaking down the barriers between filmmakers and film lovers. Film Festival O is your ticket to imagination, bringing you behind the scenes access to your soon to be favorite films, industry insider information, access to exciting filmmakers from around the world, and opportunities to network with established names, emerging talents, and film lovers alike.

By providing a platform for self expression, we make filmmaking more rewarding and help filmmakers to connect with audience members on a more intimate level. With a total of $25,000 in cash prizes awarded by our Jury of experts, a Tip Jar for all films, Viewers Choice Awards, professional and student categories, Film Festival O creates a community that supports storytelling at all levels.

At Film Festival O, we look to make the film festival experience more accessible through digital and mobile devices, which will increase the level of exposure for filmmakers and film lovers in regards to content. The festival presents 75 of the best films each selected genre has to offer and events across 7 days. Our on-demand, online format allows viewers to be transported to another world from anywhere. To begin the next year's festivals, we announce the winners of our Viewers Choice Awards from the following year during our live event in a selected city. With a diverse mixture of offerings, the place to be where you can meet filmmakers, share stories, explore new trends and connect is at Film Festival O.

Best Short Film - $5,000

Best Student Film - $4,000

Best Film Shot on a Mobile Device - $3,000

These Eligibility Requirements and Contest Guidelines (collectively, the “Guidelines”) govern the relationship between FILM FESTIVAL O (“FFO”) and participants of FFO’s online film festival (the “Festival”). By submitting a film and all content therein, including but not limited to musical works, images, clips and stills (the “Film”), you represent, warrant, guarantee, and agree to adhere to the below Guidelines and additional terms outlined elsewhere on the Website.

1. You are the creator and legal owner of the Film, or have secured all necessary rights to submit the Film.

2. There are no disputes regarding ownership of the Film, and FFO’s use of the Film will not cause injury to, violate, or infringe upon the rights of any other person or entity.

3. You grant FFO a nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to show, use, market, copy, modify, publish, distribute, create derivate works from, and display the Film.

4. If selected, you will not withdraw the Film after publication or screen the Film at any other contest during the Festival.

5. You are eighteen (18) years or older, or have obtained the authorization to enter the Festival from a parent or legal guardian.

6. You acknowledge and understand the inherent risks (including but not limited to illegal copying, accessing, abuse, and transfer) involved in submitting, screening, and publishing the Film through an online platform.

7. You assume sole and full responsibility for the Film, and agree to hold FFO harmless from and defend FFO against any and all claims, demands, losses and damages, judgments, liabilities, and expenses (including, but not limited to, attorney's fees) arising out of or in connection with any and all claims related to any Film submitted to the Festival.

8. FFO does not acquire any right or ownership in your Intellectual Property as a result of your participation the Festival.

9. Films completed prior to September 14, 2013, are not eligible for consideration for the 2016 Drama edition of the Festival.

10. Films completed prior to November 16, 2013, are not eligible for consideration for the 2016 Comedy edition of the Festival.

11. Films that
- have had a theatrical run in the US prior to the Festival dates
- have aired on US television prior to the Festival dates
- are available for purchase on DVD in North America
- are available for public online viewing in their entirety
are not eligible.

12. All entries must be either in English or subtitled in English. Dialogue lists are not accepted.

13. It is the sole responsibility of the Applicant to secure authorization and permission from the copyright owner(s) of any and all copyrighted content or materials included within the submitted Film, and any and all trademarked content or materials included within the submitted Film. FFO expressly disavows any responsibility for, and will not be held responsible for, any unauthorized inclusion of any copyrighted content or materials within or relating to the submitted Film, including any content or materials that are or may become the basis for any third party claims for copyright infringement. FFO reserves the right to disqualify, without refund of any or all submission fees previously collected from the Applicant, any Film with any unauthorized inclusion of copyrighted content or materials.

14. Entrants are permitted to submit works-in-progress (i.e., without final color correction or sound mixing), but please note that the programming committee will only consider the version submitted. Subsequent cuts or replacement copies will only be accepted at the request of the programming committee.






  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
