Fantasy and Horror Film Festival.

a) Best short: Prize Pere Garcia Plensa, € 500 + statuette

b) Best short animation: € 500 + statuette

c) Better short short: € 500 + statuette (maximum duration of 3')

d) Best short in Catalan: € 500 + statuette

e) Special prize Alice Guy (best horror and / or fantastic short writen or directed by women): € 500 + statuette

f) Chicha Cutre special award: € 500 + statuette

1. Individual or collective authors will be able to participate.

2. Short films can be competed in film or video.

3. The works must belong to the fantasy and / or horror genre.

4. There is no limitation regarding the number of works submitted by the same person, but all must be submitted together with a registration form. The works will have a maximum duration of 15 minutes. The jury reserves the right to project, outside the competition, the short ones of superior duration that, nevertheless, will be able to choose to win the prize of the public. Films will be presented in Spanish or Catalan, or subtitled in any of these two languages.


5. The works may be presented online through Festhome.com.


6. The maximum date for enrollment is September 5th, 2025; The works delivered after that date will be out of competition.


7. All the productions of 2024 and 2025 will be accepted but those that have been presented in previous editions will be excluded.


8. The jury, chosen by the Organizing Committee of the XXXV marató de Cinema Fantàstic i de Terror de Sants, will select among those presented the ones that have to configure the programming of short films that will take place in the auditorium of the Cotxeres de Sants, from 20 to November 22 The selected works will be announced on Novembre 3th, 2025 on the website: www.cotxeres-casinet.cat/marato

The decisions of the jury will be unappealable.


9. The following prizes are established:

a) Best short: Prize Pere Garcia Plensa, € 666 + statue
b) Best short animation: € 500 + statuette
c) Better short short: € 500 + figurine (maximum duration of 3 ')
d) Best short in Catalan: € 500 + figurine
e) Special prize Alice Guy (best short feminist horror and / or fantastic)
f) Chicha Cutre special award: € 500 + statue
g) Prize Ed Wood: € 500 + statue


The tax withheld by the Treasury will be applied in accordance with current legislation.


10. The prizes will be made public and will be screened during the 2025 Marató.


11. Parts that promote values ​​such as gender and cultural diversity will be valued.


12. Creations with images and sexist, racist or homophobic discourses will be excluded from the festival.


13. The organization may use fragments of the finalist works for the dissemination of the contest to the media.


14. The cost of sending the works will be paid by the contestants.


15. The jury may declare any of the awards void if it deems it appropriate.


16. The presentation of a work implies full acceptance of these bases.
