The Houston Asian American Pacific Islander Film Festival (HAAPI Film Festival) , started in 2004 by OCA­-Greater Houston, was created to highlight and celebrate thediversity of culture, food, and stories of the AAPI community, to support AAPI artists and filmmakers, and to share the messages, issues, hopes, and dreams of the AAPI experience for the Greater Houston metropolitan area through edutainment.

Audience Choice Award - Local Short

The Film Festival will only accept shorts and feature films that fulfill either of the following required criteria:

1. The film must either be directed by, produced by, or feature an Asian American/Pacific Islander and/or

2. The content of the entry must contain material that relates to Asian American/Pacific Islander culture/experience.

Please mail one DVD/Blu-Ray copy of the film to 10905 Bellaire Blvd, Suite C Houston, TX 77072, and make sure to write the name of the film, the name of the filmmaker, the total running time, and your email address on the disc.

If your film is accepted, you will need to mail in one DVD/Blu-Ray copy of the film; the copy must be postmarked within one week of receiving an acceptance email.

The entry submission deadline is March 1st, 2017.
