9rd Morce-GO Vermelho - GOIAS HORROR FILM FESTIVAL - is a film festival in the heart of Brazil, which will have contemporary audiovisual works and historical recovery linked to the themes of horror, suspense and horror. The Festival may have fiction productions, experimental and animation as well as workshops and debates.

The aim is to encourage and promote local productions, Brazil and all over the world for lovers of moviegoers horror movies, suspense and horror featuring some of the most creative in independent productions of short films in competitive shows and feature films in the programming.

The films will be awarded the MORCE-GO VERMELHO trophy according to the categories:

Best Foreign Language Feature


Best Performance
Best Screenplay
Best Direction
Honorable mention

1 - The Festival

The MORCE-GO VERMELHO - GOIÁS HORROR FILM FESTIVAL - is a film festival in the heart of Brazil, which will take place in 2025 that will have contemporary audiovisual works and historical rescue related to the themes of terror, suspense and horror. The Festival, in its 9th edition, will feature fiction, experimental and animated productions, as well as workshops and debates.

The objective is to stimulate and promote productions from Goiás, Brazilian and from all over the world, to film lovers who love horror, suspense and horror films, exhibiting what is most creative in the independent productions of short films in competitive shows and feature length films.

2- Registration
The participant must carry out the entire procedure on our site or Festhome

- 1 jpg picture 300 dpi, RGB dimensions approx. 1800 × 1200;

- Short film, fiction, documentary or experimental. - Horror, Suspense or Horror theme - Movie availability in FULL HD digital format - 1920 × 1080 or 1280 × 720 (AVI, MOV, MP4, VOB or DCP file) - Films finalized from 2020.in the finished version of the film in Private link with password (VIMEO platform, Dropbox or similar);

- There is no limit on the registration number per participant;

- The short films must be unpublished without availability on the Internet, otherwise it will be disqualified.

3- Display
International Short Film Competition (films of fiction, documentary or experimental of 1 to 25 minutes of duration and that have been produced and finalized outside Brazil).

National Short Film Competition (films of fiction, documentary or experimental, Brazilian short films, with up to 25 minutes duration);

Goian Short Film Competition (films of fiction, documentary or experimental, Brazilian short films)

Non-Competitive Show - (fiction, documentary or experimental films, Brazilian short films, with up to 25 minutes duration and feature length) - chosen by the Festival team;

The Festival may create new categories or make new changes according to the registration profile and / or theme.


4- Do Result
The list of films selected for the festival will be announced on the festival's website and all entries will be notified by October 1st 2025.

The short competition jury will be composed of film professionals and / or other related By the direction of the festival.

The directors who register their videos / films at MORCE-GO VERMELHO - GOIÁS HORROR FILM FESTIVAL will be automatically giving and authorizing the rights to exhibit them for incorporation and provision of the Festival's collection, for non-commercial exhibition and display at events promoting the Festival, except in TVs, in whole or in part, as well as the material of publicity, without for that is made any payment, including of copyrights. The works will not be returned. The cases not foreseen in this regulation will be analyzed by MORCE-GO VERMELHO.

The sending of authorization of use of the soundtrack or proof of public domain may be requested from the selected ones of all the categories.

In the case of a selected film, the legal representative of the film inscribed authorizes the display on the program of MORCE-GO VERMELHO, as well as the use of images for journalistic purposes, dissemination and promotion of the event.

The films will be awarded the MORCE-GO VERMELHO trophy according to the categories:

The trophies will not be sent to the winners, if they can not be present at MORCE-GO VERMELHO - GOIÁS HORROR FILM FESTIVAL. There is a possibility of delivery to representatives, but for this to occur it is necessary that the director and / or producer send an email in advance for the production of the event

The RED MORCE-GO - GOIÁS HORROR FILM FESTIVAL may include new categories of awards, including honorary trophies. There are no cash prizes.

All information on the application form, as well as images of the films (up to 30 seconds) can be used for dissemination on the festival website and in the media.

The material sent for registration will become part of the MORCE-GO VERMELHO collection and may be used for cultural activities, not for profit, in popular exhibition projects, with the aim of collaborating for the audiovisual democratization of national cinema.

The programming of MORCE-GO RED - GOIÁS HORROR FILM FESTIVAL will be defined by the direction, being able to be extended in Itinerant Shows. The photos of the selected films will be made available to newspapers, magazines and websites for dissemination.

Selected registrants grant the right to the film to be shown on the festival's official program and up to 10% of the time of the film or the trailer, on TV, websites and other media with the aim of publicizing the Festival.

5- Foreign Films
Foreign productions must have subtitles in Spanish, Portuguese or english.

6 - Acceptance of the Regulation:
The inscription of the film in this festival focuses on the acceptance of the terms of this regulation. The director and / or producer of the signed film is responsible, for that accepted.

At the time of registration, the directors and / or producers of the films give the rights to the MORCE-GO VERMELHO - GOIÁS HORROR FILM FESTIVAL. The festival has the right to display the films selected by Curatorial on official programming.

The management of MORCE-GO RED will decide on all issues not included in this regulation, according to the rules of the International Film Festivals.

The festival is not responsible for events canceled or changes for technical reasons in the participating venues.

All films registered at MORCE-GO RED RED - GOIÁS HORROR FILM FESTIVAL are subject to the conditions set forth in this regulation and the changes made by the Festival's production.
