The Oro Negro Film Festival in its Fifth Edition, summons all professionals from around the world and students from public and private schools throughout Mexico (enrolled or up to 1 year of graduation in any university career), to participate in the FIFTH SHORT FILM COMPETITION OF THE ORO NEGRO FILM FESTIVAL, according to the following:

• Mexican University Short Film (Fiction). Maximum 15 minutes including credits. Free theme $ 2,000 and Recognition.
• International Fiction Short Film (includes Mexico). Maximum 15 minutes including credits. Free theme $ 2,000 ($ 100 DLLS) and Recognition.
• Documentary Short Film. Maximum 18 minutes including credits. Free Theme $ 2,000 ($ 100 DLLS) and Recognition.
• Short film Veracruzano (Fiction and Documentary). Maximum 15 minutes including credits. Free theme $ 2,000 and Recognition.
The jury will grant the mentions it deems pertinent.
Proof of participation in digital format will be granted to all registered works that request it.

1. Only shorts produced from January 1, 2017 and until the closing date of the call may be registered.
2.There are no restrictions regarding the recording format, nor regarding the quantity of materials registered by the director, but an individual registration procedure must be carried out for each work.
3. Short films that are not spoken in Spanish should have subtitles in that language.
4. Once the work has been registered and selected, it cannot be removed from the official program of the Oro Negro Film Festival.
5. Once the audiovisual work is registered, the director authorizes the Black Gold Festival to display the works during the contest and to be included in promotional; as well as to be screened in other forums or non-profit film shows.
6. The directors of the registered short films must be responsible for the authorship of their work, assuming that the short film has the due copyright. In case there is any violation, you will be disqualified from the event and the Gold Black Film Festival will be exempted from any responsibility.
7. Winning or exhibited short films may be registered at other festivals or film shows.
8. The contest may be declared void if an adequate number of short films registered by category is not reached. For this purpose, the filmmakers will be notified and the registration fees will be returned after the Festival.
9. For the category of Mexican University Short Film, the directors of the short films must complete a higher level program at any institution in the country, or have a maximum of 1 year of graduation.
10. The Organizing Committee will announce the order, place, times and dates of exhibition of the selected short films in advance to the participants.
11. What is not foreseen in this call is for the consideration of the organizing committee and its decision will be final.
