Festival start: 23 July 2014      Festival end: 27 July 2014

The Prescott Film Festival is excited to announce our 5th annual festival which will take place July 23-27 on the campus of Yavapai College. We screen in three beautiful venues, one of which is the newly remodeled 800 seat Yavapai College Performing Arts Center with Hd projection, surround sound, ànd fantastic views from our upstairs VIP lounge. Q & A's follow each screening and we also try to have a short film proceed each feature. Additionally we work to create at least three shorts programs. Prescott is located at an elevation of 5,200 feet above sea level in the midst of the largest stand of Ponderosa pines in the U.S. hiking trails surround the area, along with lakes for canoeing, golf, museums and an historic downtown that would make the perfect locations for your next film. Join us for five days of films in one of the most beautiful areas in Arizona.

Prescott Film Festival seeks to present "Movies That Move You" and over our five year history we have earned a reputation for showing an outstanding selection of films. We also seek to provide an excellent experience for our filmmakers who attend. Filmmakers receive an all-access pass that gets them into all the films, workshops, seminars, after-parties with live music and the awards party. Additionally film makers are the stars throughout the festival and in the VIP Lounge where snacks and beverages keep you going! Some complimentary lodging accommodations are also available.

The Jury Awards are determined by the programming jury. Winners will receive a trophy and cash award. Cash award values are determined by the entry category (see appropriate section).

Audience Choice Awards
The Audience Choice Awards are chosen by the voting of those in attendance. Winners will receive a Trophy.

We accept films in all genres for consideration. Prescott Programmers are always excited to find comedies, adventures, mysteries, science fiction and thrillers. In addition the festival also programs a series of "Family Friendly" films. Programmers especially like to find environment films, animal and farming related films, (especially horses) and films about music, history, art and architecture.

Filmmakers are responsible for postage to the festival and return postage for exhibition copies. If you would like your exhibition copy returned, please include a self-addressed stamped video mailer with your submission after acceptance. While the Festival will take precautions to handle your film responsibly, the festival, its committee, agents and staff cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to any materials entered.

Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
