Official section: A jury proposed by the Festival will award this award with € 500 and statuette.
Secion escolar: A jury proposed by the Festival will award this award with € 200 and a statuette.
Bases of the IX international short film festival for diversity Andaina 2021
The festival consists of the following sections:
TWO COMPETITIVES:
A- Official section It includes a selection of jobs chosen by the commission assessed
B- School section Selection of work done by students and staff of educational centers and centers for people with functional diversity.
NO COMPETITIVE:
A-.Children section A selection of animated films for children, which will be screened in school sessions
1) The Festival will be held in Redondela (Pontevedra) from April 6 to 16, 2021 at the facilities of the Multipurpose of A Xunqueira (Paseo da Xunqueira s / n)
2) Both national and international works are accepted, provided they are recorded in Spanish or Galician. The duration of the works will be greater than 2 minutes and less than 20 minutes, and those that do not meet these requirements must be delivered in the original version.
3) The theme of the works submitted to the competition will address the issue of functional diversity, or will be carried out by a person with a disability, and must agree with the purposes of the Andaina association; the improvement of the quality of life of people with functional diversity and their families, for which we consider essential the total integration in the school, social and work environment.
4) In the official section works of fiction are admitted and in the school, genres of fiction and documentary will be admitted.
5) A maximum of two works per author will be admitted. These must have been generated after January 1, 2018.
6) It will be positively assessed that they are subtitled in Spanish or Galician, to facilitate access to people with hearing impairment.
7) The short films will be sent to the festival in digital format through the festhome.com platform
8) A commission designated by the Festival organization will be in charge of selecting the works that will be submitted to the competition in the Official Section and in the School Section, among all the short films received; according to quality criteria and compliance with these standards. The commission will also choose the short films that will be shown in the non-competitive section of the Festival, its decision being final.
9) The festival will deliver two awards:
Official section: A jury proposed by the Festival will award this prize endowed with € 500 and a statuette.
School section: A jury proposed by the Festival will award this prize endowed with € 200 and a statuette.
10) The Festival Organization reserves the right to exclude all works whose content is obscene, violent, sexist, racist or violates any fundamental right of persons.
11) The authors of the works will assign to the Festival, during their celebration, their exploitation rights, consisting of the reproduction, communication and public distribution of the same,even in subsequent exhibitions that the Andaina association may carry out for cultural or educational purposes, which will always be exercised with the recognition of their status as author , except demonstrations against.
Likewise, they authorize the festival to make an online edition, in case of not being able to carry out the physical edition on the scheduled dates
12) The contestants are responsible for the absence of rights to third parties for the use of the musical pieces in the works presented and are also responsible for the image rights of the people who appear in them, exempting the Organization from any responsibility in this sense. In the event that an audio track with material owned by a record company is used without your permission, the contest film will not be accepted.
13) The deadline for receipt of work will be January 31, 2021
14) The organization reserves the right to modify these rules if necessary.
15) Participants must accept the treatment of the rules
IX International Short Film Festival and Functional Diversity Andaina
INSCRIPTION
- Films in competition will be sent to the festival exclusively through the festhome.com digital platform
-Participants will send their copies before January 31, 2021 to the aforementioned digital platforms including the following information: 3 photographs in digital format of quality of the short film Copy of the DNI in digital format of the person representing the short film
It will be appreciated:
- A digital image of the short film poster
- Any other information of interest (links to trailers, links to making-of, website, press kit, files, etc.)
All the required documentation will become part of the organization's material for the festival's video library.
The expenses derived from the digital delivery of the material will be borne by the participants.
Compliance with the registration requirements is a mandatory condition for participation in the contest. Any deficiency, incomplete data, or documentation not submitted will imply non-participation in the contest.
Postal shipments will not be accepted.
