Our definition for comedy -

`A film which is driven by, or, ultimately concludes with an excellent sense of humour.

We welcome any comic genre; black, slapstick, irreverent, romantic, political, subversive, absurd ... etc. And must have an excellent sense of humour.

OTF & WODC has two voting categories, which we present Certificates -
Best Film (as voted by peers) 1st, 2nd & 3rd.
and Most Popular Film (as voted by the Audience) 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

* AS PART OF CONDITION OF ENTRY *

1/ THE PRODUCER and any AUTHORISED PERSON entering this film has obtained from each contributor the authorisations to use of image, sound, performance and the reproduction of said image, sound, performance.

2/ THE PRODCER/S and any AUTHORISED PERSON is the owner, has authorisation or licence from the owner of the copyright in the sound recordings comprising the soundtrack to the film.

3/ length: Films for the competition will be in two categories and these times must include all titles and credits:

a/ Short comedy film: under 16 min

b/ Long Short comedy form or Series: 16 - 40 min

4/ FORMAT: All films to be submitted as online Screener.

5/ prizes: The circumstance COULD POSSIBLY arise that an award would not be given if no film was deemed outstanding in a category.

6/ subtitleS: All non-english language films must be subtitled/dubbed in english. All subtitles can be two rows, as this is on the big screen!

7/ SCREENINGS: Over The Fence Comedy Film Festival / World of Dark Comedy do not offer remuneration for screenings at the festival nor the subsequent tour.

8/ ENTRY FEES: Are not refundable.

9/ PLEASE NOTE: While we will make EVERY EFFORT to stick to screening times as printed, OTF cannot be held accountable for changes to the schedule after schedule is announced.

10/ EXCERPTS/COPIES: By submitting to Over The Fence Comedy Film Festival / World of Dark Comedy you agree that the festival may use up to 30 seconds of your film for publicity purposes. OTF may also make a copy of films that are selected to screen for exhibition, judging (nominated films go out to interstate jury) and may also be used for media review purposes.

11/ RIGHTS: The person submitting the film to Over The Fence Comedy Film Festival / World of Dark Comedy must hold appropriate rights to music, actors etc and be able, IF REQUIRED, to produce proof of those rights.

12/ online ACCESS: If your film is selected it will be required that you restrict access to 'your' film online until Aug of that year of touring.

13/ INDEMNITY: The filmmaker and its agents agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Over The Fence Comedy Film Festival / World of Dark Comedy, its board, judges, sponsors and partners, individually and collectively, from all claims and demands, losses, damages, costs and liabilities relating to any films submitted to this festival.
