Cameo Open Air Film Festival will be an international short film festival where FICTION, DOCUMENTARY, ANIMATION and EXPERIMENTAL films of directors from Turkey and all around the world will meet the audience. The goal of the festival, which will take place in one of the most important cities in Turkey, is to be an organization that will be recognized at the international level with the participation of local and foreign directors, actors, actresses, producers and film critics.

Cameo Open Air Film Festival offers a powerful cinema experience with workshops, interviews, masterclasses, retrospectives and surely the richness of the competitions which takes place alongside screenings. Festival is aiming to create a joyful and productive atmosphere for all local and international film professionals as well as creating a unique experience for all the residents.

Cameo Open Air Film Festival Competition Regulations

1. Cameo Open Air Film Festival will be held between July 7st and 10th, 2019.

2. Cameo Open Air Film Festival is comprised of the following sections:

Special Screenings

3. The Festival is not obliged to offer comments or reasons for not selecting a film submitted for one of Festival’s programmes.

4. All film entries, unless otherwise specified, must be submitted to the Festival for selection by June 7, 2019

5. All films must be presented in their original language and, where this language is other than English, the print of the film must be subtitled in English (if not otherwise specified). Subtitling expenses are to be met by the Participant.

6. For films selected to be screened at the Festival, these materials must also be sent:

Photo of the director
Director’s biography and filmography
Dialogue list in English
One or more stills from the film
Film clips / trailer

None of the above listed required materials will be returned.

7. The Festival may use all materials cited in Article 6 for promotional purposes and in order to compile the Festival Catalogue. The Festival bears no responsibility for published inaccuracies originating in submitted materials.

8. The Jury for the Competition programme will be comprised of at least 5 prominent experts in the field of arts and culture, film theory and criticism as well as filmmakers and producers.

9. No Jury member will be assigned if previously had taken part in the making of any film in competition.

10. The President of the Jury is designated by the Festival Administration.

11. The Festival shall grant the following Awards:

12. Participation in the Festival implies acceptance of all aforementioned regulations. Festival Administration has the power to settle all issues not covered by these Regulations.
