The I International Catholic Film Festival of Cali (FICCCA) TALITA KUM aims to promote a culture of life and hope based on human and Christian values and our Catholic Faith, with films that address the theme of human improvement through love, solidarity, mutual aid, prayer, reconciliation and forgiveness.

Likewise, it will be a space that encourages knowledge, respect and deep love for our Catholic Faith through films that deal with the Eucharist, the Sacraments, the Priesthood, the presence of the Virgin Mary, devotions and the history of the Catholic Church.

It will also screen feature and short films on human rights, peace, humanitarian crises and intercultural dialogue.

TALITA KUM PRIZES
- The winning films from the International Fiction and Documentary Feature Film Competition will receive the Talita Kum Award.

- The winning short at the International Short Film Competition will receive the Talita Kum Award.

I. CONDITIONS
1. In the FICCCA, fiction, documentary and short films that meet the following conditions may participate in the selection:
- Films that express moral values and positive role models.

- Films whose dialogues do not contain bad words, insults and blasphemies.

- Movies that do not contain explicit sex scenes or very violent scenes.
2. The official selection of fiction, documentary and short films includes international and national films.
3. Films participating in the selection, if spoken in a language other than Spanish, must have English subtitles.
4. Feature films and short films entered or selected cannot be withdrawn from FICCCA.
5. The selected feature films and short films may be presented, after the FICCCA, in travelling screenings in other cities.

II. COMPETITION
The (FICCCA) TALITA KUM will have three competitive sections:
- The official selection of fiction feature films.
- The official selection of documentary feature films.
- The official selection of short films.

Official selection of fiction feature films
1. Productions may not exceed 140 minutes including credits.
2. The production date must not exceed 24 months.
3. The films could have been shot on any media.

Official selection of documentary feature films
1. Productions may not exceed 140 minutes including credits.
2. The production date must not exceed 24 months.
3. The films could have been shot on any media.

Official selection of short films
1.Productions may not exceed 45 minutes including credits.
2. The production date must not exceed 24 months.
3. The films could have been shot on any media.

III. PLAZO DE INSCRIPCIÓN
La fecha límite para inscribir la película es el 23 de agosto.

IV. MATERIALS
Include the following information on the Fest Home platform:
- Short synopsis in Spanish (maximum 22 words) and long (maximum 130 words).
- Names of the team and actors: director, producer, scriptwriter, director of photography, director of art, music and main actors.
- Biography of the director (maximum 130 words).
- Filmography of the director.
- High resolution photos of the film (maximum 2) and the director (1) (300 DPI).
- Trailer of the film in optimal resolution for use in advertising spots.
- List of awards and/or film festivals.
- Name, address, telephone number and e-mail address of the rights holder.

V.SUBTITLING
The Selection Committee will accept to screen a film:
• without subtitles if the original language is Spanish.
• with Spanish subtitles for all other original languages.


VI.SHIPPING
When the movie is selected, the download link will be requested. The selected film can be shown in the following formats:
Quicktime HD.
Other formats may, eventually, be used but must be reviewed beforehand.

VII. SELECTED FILMS
You will receive an email informing you about the selection of your film for the final competition before the 30th of September.

VIII. JURY
A jury made up of three renowned people from the audiovisual sector will choose the winning films.
