The Huánuco Film Festival is a cultural event that celebrates and promotes the film industry in the Huánuco region and Peru. With the aim of promoting appreciation of the seventh art and providing a platform for local, national and international filmmakers, our festival in these 11 years has become a benchmark in the cinematographic field of Peru and the world.

Glass trophies in high relief, with the inscription of the name of the festival, together with the logos of the organizers and the Ministry of Culture of Peru and for the winners of the international guests, the diplomas or their equivalents will bear the same logos plus the seal and the signature of the festival organizers.

1. OBJECTIVE
The Huánuco Film Festival has as its objective the dissemination, promotion and training of Peruvian cinematography and in general of the audiovisual industry of Peru, Latin America and Europe, hosting the meeting of its various professional sectors and promoting its national and international development international. To fulfill this objective, the Huánuco Film Festival. It will celebrate its 11th Edition from November 18 to 22, 2024.

2. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Films in competition must meet the following requirements:

2.1. OFFICIAL SELECTION OF PREMIERE FEATURE FILMS - APRECI AWARD
All films that have not been released in commercial or alternative cinemas can participate, they will be received in the following categories national fiction, regional and national documentary. Films must be longer than 60 minutes.

2.2. OFFICIAL SELECTION OF FEATURE FILMS ALREADY RELEASED
All films that have a duration of more than 75 minutes that have not reached commercial theaters in the Huánuco region can participate, these in turn are in the following subcategories: national and regional fiction, national documentary. Its year of production should not be more than 5 years.

2.3. OFFICIAL SELECTION OF FEATURE FILM MADE BY WOMEN.
You can present films made by women from all over the country, their year of commercial or alternative release does not count, in addition this selection is to recognize the work of women in cinema, therefore, all films in this category will receive a statuette of the blacks of Huánuco plus a diploma or certificate.

2.4. OFFICIAL SELECTION OF PREMIERE SHORT FILMS
Only all the short films that do not
have participated in other festivals, their duration must not exceed 30 minutes, the year of production must not exceed 2 years and they will be in the different subcategories: - National short films, Fiction, documentary and animation - University short films, Fiction, documentary and animation.

2.5. OFFICIAL SELECTION OF SHORT FILMS MADE BY HUANUQUEÑOS
Short films made by Huanuqueños whose works may be made anywhere in Peru or abroad and are divided into the following subcategories: fiction, documentary and animation, must not be older than 5 years.

2.6. OFFICIAL SELECTION OF HUANUQUEÑO ARTISTIC MUSIC VIDEOS
All people who are dedicated to the art of music in its different genres that have a video clip of no more than 8 minutes can participate.

2.7. OFFICIAL SELECTION OF SHORT FILM FILM GOES TO SCHOOL
All Peruvian film projects whose works are focused on school cinema, with a duration of less than 30 minutes, can apply.

2.8. OFFICIAL SELECTION OF FEATURE FILM FILM GOES TO SCHOOL.
All Peruvian film projects whose works are focused on school cinema, with a duration of no less than 60 minutes, can apply.

2.9. OFFICIAL SELECTION OF INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILMS
All those interested at an international level who have a short film, whether in fiction, documentary or animation, who do not have more, may participate.

2.10. OFFICIAL SELECTION OF INTERNATIONAL FEATURE FILMS
This category will be a gala selection since the feature films in competition will be proposed by the different embassies that exist in Peru, its duration will be no less than 75 minutes and its year of production or realization will be no more than 3 years. By this means, only those films that have been nominated for the Goya award or its equivalent may apply. in the last 5 years.

2.11. OFFICIAL SELECTION OF UNIVERSITY SHORT FILMS
All short films from all universities in Peru with a maximum duration of 30min and 2 years of production can participate. They will be divided into subcategories. Documentary, Fiction and Animation.

2.12. OFFICIAL SELECTION OF SHORT FILMS FOR BROADCASTING ON FENACI TV (FB, YOUTUBE)
All short films with a maximum duration of 30 min whose works will be made in Peru can participate. It is divided into subcategories, Documentary, Fiction and Animation.
