Veganism: consumption of vegetables and food free of animals, to achieve a healthy life, compassionate with animals and careful with the environment.
World Veganism Day is celebrated on November 1st of every year. Established by Louise Wallis in 1994, president of the Vegan Society of the United Kingdom, founded in 1950 by Donald Watson, inventor of the term "vegan".
The Vegan Film Festival, Concepción 2019, is an international, competitive festival of vegan cinema, to celebrate on November 1, 2019, at the Concepción Theater, the World Veganism Day.
Open to all, vegans and non-vegans.
For this purpose, the Vegan Film Festival, invites to inscribe its documentaries, fictions, shorts and feature films, to the entire vegan film community of the planet, through the online platform, Festhome.
The films will be selected by the Festival Director and Programmer.
The selected films will be exhibited at the Concepción Theater, on November 1, 2019, World Veganism Day.

Awards:
There will be 3 prizes:
1. Grand Prize of the Jury
2. Most Popular Movie (public)
3. Pocket films

Thematic:
The participating films can deal with the following themes:
1. Health and nutrition: Benefits of veganism.
2. Environment: the damage that the carnivorous diet does to the planet and how vegan food can save it
3. Animal activism: fight to defend animals from pain and cruelty.
4. Vegan lifestyle: community, art, travel, vegan activism.

1. The filmmakers can send the films they want, in one of the two categories of the festival (Grand Jury Prize and Pocket Movies), through the FESTHOME site.

2. Films can have any length and gender, sent by professionals or amateurs.

3. The films must be spoken in Spanish, preferably, dubbed or subtitled in Spanish, premiered as of January 2016.

4. A qualifying Jury will pre-select the participating films. His verdict is unappealable.

5. All films will be considered for exhibition after the festival. In the case of being selected, the festival will communicate personally with the author, to finalize an agreement and allow such an exhibition.

6. The festival does not pay projection fees.

7. The festival will NOT charge for each inscribed film.

8. The organization of the festival can accept films after the deadline and invite a filmmaker or films, as you see fit.

9. All participants release the Vegan Film Festival, the sponsors and their affiliates, partners and employees from all liability, claims, demands and causes of action for third party claims (including intellectual property claims), personal injury and / or damage , theft or loss suffered in connection with this Festival or the use or acceptance of the prize or any part of it.

10. Although the organization does not plan to finance the trip and / or stay of the selected filmmakers, they are still welcome to be present on the day of the event.

11. Contestants accept that a fragment of their film is used for promotional purposes, in all known formats and media, especially through the Internet.

12. The festival will charge an entrance to the public to cover the costs of the event.

13. Participation in the Vegan Film Festival implies the acceptance of these Bases.
