Peruvian Film Festival Made by Women is the first festival that aims to contribute to the reduction of gender gaps in Peruvian cinema, through the exhibition of feature films and short films made by women filmmakers, training meetings and the debate about of the current situation of the audiovisual and cultural sector with a feminist approach and a decentralist vision.

ABOUT REGISTRATION

1.1 The call is open for both fiction, documentary or experimental short and feature films, including video art works.

1.2 Short films and feature films in a language other than Spanish must have Spanish subtitles.

1.4 Works that have been accepted in previous editions of the festival will not be able to participate.

1.5 Registration will be open until January 15, 2022.

ABOUT THE CATEGORIES

2.1 Competitive categories:

- Feature Films Competition: fiction, documentary or experimental feature films, lasting more than 30 min, directed by women and dissidents. Produced in Peru and Latin America, between January 2020 until the closing of the call.

- Short Film Competition: fiction, documentary or experimental short films, with a duration of less than 30 min, directed by women and dissidents. Produced in Peru and Latin America, between January 2020 until the closing of the call.

2.2 Non-competitive categories:

- Expanded: Video art, experimental, video activism and various audiovisual expressions, whether short films, feature films or sound works, directed by women and dissidents. Produced in Peru and Latin America, between January 2020 until the closing of the call.

ABOUT THE SELECTION

3.1 The programming committee will select the participating short and feature films from the different sections of the festival.

3.5 The works will be exhibited on our virtual platform during the days of the festival and there will also be face-to-face screenings.

3.6 By accepting these rules, the participant assures that they are the sole owner of the material presented to the festival, for which reason they are solely responsible for any third party claim on the rights of the material.

3.7 All the selected productions will be part of the festival archive and may be used for promotional purposes and post-festival cycles with prior notice.

3.8 The festival undertakes to use this material exclusively for the screenings and promotion of the same event.

3.9 The registration in the festival and the sending of the material implies the understanding and acceptance of the bases, the assignment of licenses for the projection and reproduction of the material for its exhibition, activities related to the festival and corresponding dissemination thereof.

4.3 The selected short and feature films must include in all their graphics, as well as in the audiovisual product itself, and in all subsequent screenings, the corresponding laurels that will be awarded by the organization.

4.2 Other aspects not foreseen in the bases will be resolved by the organizing committee.
