Itabaiana International Film Festival ()

The Itabaiana International Film Festival was created with the aim of enabling and encouraging young audiovisual producers living in Brazil and abroad to promote their work, thus promoting new productions and professionals in the regional, national and even international segments.

The Festival will show films from all categories and film genres, through competitive and informative exhibitions; in addition to promoting debates on audiovisual with lectures/round tables/workshops that will be held.

The Itabaiana International Film Festival returns for its fourth edition, from July 30 to August 2, 2025.

The exhibition will display and reward works launched between 2023 and 2025 on a national and international circuit. The exhibition will also offer workshops and thematic lectures. All the activities are free.

I – GENERAL ORGANIZATION
The 4rd Itabaiana International Film Festival will be held in person.

II – PERIOD
From July 30th to August 2nd, 2025.

III – MODALITY
Short Film, Animation, Documentary, Experimental, Music Video and Dance Video

IV – THEME
Free.

V – EXHIBITION FORMAT
Competitive.

VI – CURATORY
The selection of films will be made through a guest curator who has no connection with the selected works.

VII – JURY
The award will be given by a jury previously composed of invited members who have no connection with the selected works.

VIII – COMPETITIVE SHOW
All films shown throughout the exhibition will be competing for awards according to the jury's election. And there will also be a category in which the public can choose the best film.

IX - REGISTRATION
Films can be submitted through the Festhomey platform at the following link: https://festhome.com/festival/festival-internacional-de-cinema-de-itabaiana

There is no limit to the number of films per director.

Films in a foreign language must be submitted with english or Portuguese subtitles (subtitles preferred).

Films must have been completed after 2023 and be no longer than 60 minutes long.

Still, country of production, and technical details are mandatory information for the film's submission to be validated

Films submitted in the Sergipe category must have three directors who are native or resident of the state on their team. For the submission to be validated, in this category it is necessary to send proof of birth or residence of the directors from Sergipe to the email: festcineitabaiana@gmail.com

X - SELECTION
The announcement of the selected films will take place on May 5th.

The films will be divided into four official sections: International Short Film Competition, National Short Film Competition, Sergipe Short Film Competition and Music Video Competition.

Informative sections may be created at the discretion of the festival organizers.

The selected films must be in MP4/H.264 format, which must be sent to the event within 72 hours after the announcement of the selected films, via a download link to the following email address: festcineitabaiana@gmail.com

Screening copies of selected films in a foreign language must be sent without embedded subtitles and accompanied by a list of dialogues in english or Portuguese (preferably) in SRT format.

The awards consist of the following categories:

Best Soundtrack

The winners will receive a trophy.

All costs for shipping the trophy will be borne by the winner who cannot attend the awards ceremony.

XII - GENRE

The Itabaiana International Film Festival will select short films in the following genres: Animation, Documentary, Experimental, Fiction, Music Video and Video Dance.

XIII - SCREENING

After registering the film, the person responsible will agree that the film will be shown free of charge during the festival on days chosen by the organizers.

GENERAL PROVISIONS
The Itabaiana International Film Festival is exempt from any responsibility regarding the content of the films as well as the licenses, authorizations and rights required for their exhibition. Such matters are the sole responsibility of the participating filmmaker.

I declare that I have read and agree with the regulations of the Itabaiana International Film Festival and that the information provided by me above is true and I expressly authorize:

1 – That the work registered through this document be part of the collection of the Itabaiana International Film Festival, and may be exhibited from July 2025;

2 – The broadcasting of photos, sound and images on TV, CD-ROM, Internet, DVD and any printed or electronic media of excerpts of this work, or its entirety, in non-commercial exhibition, to promote the film and the Itabaiana International Film Festival and other activities related to the event.
