Scotland's Catalan Film Festival returns with an exciting showcase of feature, short and archive films made in Catalonia. The festival will be held online 19 Nov - 6 Dec with an ace-looking programme focused on the recovery and reconstruction of recent Spanish and Catalan historic memory.

This year’s programme has some of the most anticipated Spanish and Catalan films of the year, including Malaga Film Festival winner Las Niñas by Pilar Palomero or the cinematic phenomenon of the year in Spain: My Mexican Bretzel by Nuria Gimenez Lorang. Other exciting titles include La Nova Escola by Ventura Durall, Jaume Plensa: Can You Hear Me? by Pedro Ballesteros, Luis Lopez Carrasco’s multi-awarded The Year of the Discovery, or the Cannes-selected Josep by Aurel touching on the life of Catalan Artist Josep Bartoli during “La Retirada” years of Spanish Civil War refugees in France.

The Festival offers once again some of the freshest short films in the festival circuit as well as short film retrospectives, Catalan Classics rediscovered and special retrospectives available globally!
