PequeFilmes is a short film festival aimed at audiences of all ages, with special attention to children.

PequeFilmes 2024 takes place physically on January 26, 27 and 28 at the Cidade da Cultura of Santiago de Compostela (Spain).

Audience Award for the Best Short Film in the Fanecas Category (+7 years): 1,000 euros

REGULATIONS
DATES:

PEQUEFILMES 2024 will take place in the Centro Gaiás Museum of the City of Culture in
Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain) between the 26th, 27th and 28th of January, 2024.

GENRES, STYLE AND languageS:
Works of all styles and genres, produced in any country of the world, will be accepted.

The screening copies for the pre-selection with dialogues in languages other than Galician or Spanish in their lack in english.

CATEGORIES:
The following competitive categories are established:
- MIÑOCAS: International Competition for audiences +3 years old.
- FANECAS: International Competition for public +7 years old.

DATE OF CREATION:
Only works completed after the 1st of January will be accepted for the international competitions.

duration:
The works will be curtametraxes with a maximum duration of 30 minutes.

THEME:
The theme is free and works of all styles and techniques will be accepted, as long as the content is suitable for the recommended ages in each category (+3 and +7 years). The
participants may enter as many works as they wish.

FORMAT:
The projection formats for the International Competitions are:

mpeg4/-mov H264 or Apple ProRes 442.

The projection copies must be sent in the highest resolution possible, in the following formats be sent with the highest resolution possible, preferably in Full HD (1920x1080
pixels), and, if possible, in progressive format (non-interlaced).

subtitleS:
The selected works with dialogues in languages other than Galician or Spanish, must be subtitled in one of these languages. In case of not being able to provide subtitles in the two languages, they will have to present a clean copy of the screening (without subtitles integrated in the image), accompanied by a separate file with a list of dialogues in english.

REGISTRATION FEE: 3 euros.


END OF THE REGISTRATION PERIOD:
The deadline to sumbit films to PequeFilmes 2024 is December 15th.


Participants will be informed of the selection during the last week of December 2023.

December 2023. The winners of the corresponding categories will be announced at the end of the festival.


The projection copies must be in the hands of the PequeFilmes organization
2024 before the 15th of January 2024, and they will be sent by means of a service of
downloads to the email address indicated by the festival to the selected films.

prizes:

The prizes for the competitive categories are:

Audience Award for the Best Short Film in the Youngest Category (+3 years old): 1.000 euros.

Audience Award for the Best Short Film in the Fanecas Category (+7 years): 1.000 euros


The prizes will be subject to the corresponding tax withholdings.

The organisation will not pay projection fees for the selected short films in the
selected within the competitive categories.

OTHER DISPOSITIONS:
The participants accept that fragments of their works will be used free of charge
free of charge for promotional and advertising purposes by the festival.

The festival reserves the right to organise additional screenings of the selected and/or awarded works during selected and/or awarded works during the course of the year following their selection, always for promotional selection, always with promotional purposes aprevious communication to the owners of the works.

By signing the participation document, the participant expresses his or her
