QUALIFYING FESTIVAL FOR THE GOYA AWARDS OF THE SPANISH FILM ACADEMY.

Santiago-Pontones International Short Film Festival (Jaén).

Official Jury Award for Best NATIONAL Short: 800 euros and Pino Galapán.

Official Jury Award for Best INTERNATIONAL Short: Certificate of award.

Audience Award: 500 euros and Pino Galapán.


Award for Best Female Performance: 250 euros and Pino Galapán.

Award for Best Male Performance: 250 euros and Pino Galapán.

RULES XI INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL GALAPÁN FILM FESTIVAL.

1. Participation in this Contest is open to short films of national and international production, whether fiction, animation or documentary.

2. Films shot in any format, silent or with incorporated sound, produced after January 1, 2025, may be presented to the Contest.

3. The maximum duration of the films in competition will not exceed 20 minutes including the credits.

4. Films must be presented spoken in Spanish or in the original version with Spanish subtitles.

5. Each author may submit up to a maximum of 3 works.


6. The selected films will appear in the Festival Catalog and will be exhibited in PUBLIC AND FREE sessions within the dates of the Festival. Specifically between July 27 and August 1, in night sessions at 10 pm at the “Meeting Place” in the town of Santiago de la Espada, belonging to the municipality of Santiago-
Pontones, province of Jaén (Spain).

7. The decisions of the Selection Committee and the Jury are final.

INSCRIPTION

Registration will be done by online procedure through the platform FESTHOME.

In addition to the short film in digital format, the poster of the short film, 2 frames of it and a photograph of the director must be uploaded to the server. When registering the work, you will be asked for a series of data that will make up the registration form, therefore the participant who makes the online submission does not have to send anything else by post or e-mail.

SELECTED FILMS

1. The works selected for the competition will be announced from July 1, 2026 on the festival's official Facebook page and in different media. In addition, confirmation will be sent by email to each selected and to the non-selected works as well. The Festival will promote all the selected works in a timely manner on social media and in the press.

2. The selected films must be sent in HD files with the h264 codec and a minimum resolution of 1920 x 1080 -1080p- in .mp4) before July 15, 2026.


All prizes are subject to the withholdings determined by the law in force in Spain.

The winners will be invited to the awards Ceremony Gala that will take place on Saturday night, August 2. The organization will take care of the accommodation and living expenses for two people on the day / night of the Gala and one day more if necessary. The displacement will be borne by the awarded directors, understanding that with the economic endowment of the prize it is possible to pay for these expenses. In exceptional cases, the financing of the trip can be studied.

GENERAL RULES

The attending authors of the works selected for the competition may present their film in person if they wish, before the screening.

The organization may take over the accommodation if they are interested in attending.

The producers of the selected short films authorize the use of a fragment of the works up to a maximum of 20 seconds, for possible dissemination in any media.

The Organization may exhibit the selected short films in the places and times it deems appropriate, always within the festival's dates and duly announced on our social networks and previously communicated to the directors / producers.
