Festival start: 23 September 2021      Festival end: 26 September 2021

Rustenburg film festival (RFF) is Rustenburg's signature film event operated by Rustenburg Film Festival (NPC), a Non-Profit Company registered in terms of the Companies Act 71 of 2008 of South Africa, with Reg No. 2014/137852/08. Rustenburg is a major city of the North West province in South Africa. The Festival has run for 5 years under the name "Bojanala Film Week" but has since 2020 changed to Rustenburg Film Festival. It has provided filmmaking skills to more than a thousand filmmakers across the province in the form of film workshops and most of these filmmakers are now independent filmmakers producing films for various exhibition platforms.

In 2020, RFF launched under the pandemic attack and still held an amazing successful event. Rustenburg Film festival prides itself as the signature annual event to be hosted in the platinum city. RFF’s key objectives are;

- Develop & promote filmmakers through practical interventions
- Audience Development through evoking appetite for local movies
- Foster networks amongst key stakeholders in film (local & international filmmakers)
- Promote North West as a film destinations

We look forward to having you as a guest. Rustenburg is an hour's drive from Tshwane (Pretoria), South Africa's capital city. The city boasts modern architecture including the famous Sun City where movies like Blended (Adam Sandler), 10 Days in Sun City were shot. With some of the country's largest game parks, no one can get bored.
