Since 2019, the FICC - International Cannabis Film Festival - has put the theme of cannabis on the table through cinema and culture, helping to break down prejudices regarding its different uses, providing information and contributing to access to more rights.

The Festival takes place in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and the incorporation of Brazil for our next edition.

The FICC grows in public, alliances, support and exposure in the media, achieving, between face-to-face and virtual spectators, an audience of more than 4,000 people.
With different categories of national and international competition with cash prizes, specialized juries and a public award chosen by the vote of the viewers through our website: www.ficc.ar

Our intention is to provide information through cinema, as a trigger to debate, break down taboos, normalize regulation, from its medicinal, recreational, industrial, cultural, educational and social aspects, without promoting consumption.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The FICC - Cannabis International Film Festival will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in October 2026, Montevideo, Uruguay, in November 2026, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, in February 2027.

Audiovisuals works of any duration (short, medium or feature film) of any genre (fiction, documentary, animation, video clip, etc.) are received.

For the evaluation and selection, criteria of quality, originality, skill in the narrative development of the work and that cannabis is present in the film will be taken into account. The "Other Trips" section is still valid, where we will receive films that present other psychoactive substances in their plot.

Films made and completed after January 1, 2022 may participate, with any medium, format, treatment and duration.

Competition, with international juries divided into two teams of three members who will award:

- Feature film
- Short film
- Audience Award (chosen by viewer vote)

It is a mandatory condition:

Own all the rights to both the film and the music.
Be of age.
Include the viewing link so that the Selection Committee can evaluate it.
