“Trame Indipendenti: INDEPENDENT SHORT FILM FESTIVAL” 6th Edition

We have reached the sixth edition of "T.R.A.me Indipendenti" international festival of independent short films.

The proposals we would like to select are self-produced films that must have the following characteristics:

- The length: SHORT FILMS of max 15 min including the credits.

- Independence: self-production and self-distribution

- The short film can be of any kind; the materials received will be divided into the following categories: "narratives", "documentaries" and "animations". A prize will be awarded for each category. Should an adequate number of applications not be received for the "documentaries" and "animations" category, the Festival organization reserves the right to insert and evaluate the relative works in the "narrative" category.

Due to the situation of uncertainty linked to the COVID-19 health emergency, event dates may change from those published.

The organizers also reserve the possibility of broadcasting the evening in live streaming. The streaming of the evening will not be made available except for the duration of the live broadcast.

The “TRAme Indipendenti” Short Film Festival has the aim to promote the independent movie through the screening of high quality cinema productions, produced outside the major film studio system and distributed by independent entertainment companies.

Short films of any kind will be accepted for selection:

With a maximum running time of 15 minutes including credits.
Products after 01/01/2019.
Who have not participated in the previous editions of "TRAme Indipendenti"

The short film can be of any kind; the materials received will be divided into the following categories: "narratives", "documentaries" and "animations". A prize will be awarded for each category. If a sufficient number of applications will be not reached for the "documentary" and "animation" categories, the Festival organization reserves the right to enter and evaluate the relative works in the "narrative" category.

All films, except those in Italian, must have English subtitles, whenever possible, it is preferable that the subtitles are not overlayed on the video. It is anyway mandatory to send the organizers the separate file with english subtitles.

For selected short films, a high-quality download link must be sent to the indicated email address.
The high-quality shorts films must have the following technical characteristics:
maximum size: 40 GB
minimum resolution: 1920x1080 (Full HD)
video codec: Apple ProRes 422HQ or Apple ProRes 444 / H264 / DNxHD
minimum bitrate: 30 Mbps
video container (preferred): .mov / .mp4

For the selected short films the author must complete, sign and send to the organizers a form accompanied by a copy of a valid ID.

The short films selected must be accompanied by at least two photos and / or promotional posters in jpeg, png, gif format (maximum size 5 MB)
The submitter accepts all responsibility regarding the intellectual property of the short film and the complementary material supplied and the complete responsibility for all the images and commercial logos used.

The submitter allows the promotion of the film on his/her behalf, the organization of multiple screenings, both open to the public and private, without any copyright infringement.

Materials that defames or vilifies any person, people, races, religion or religious group and is not invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, inflammatory or otherwise objectionable will not be accepted.

The registration fee is not refundable in any case and will be considered a voluntary donation.
The sum collected will be used to support organizational expenses.

All decisions made by the Artistic Direction, the Selection Committee and the judging Juries are at their sole and absolute discretion, and are final and unreviewable.

For the selected short films, the sender allows the free use of the film and its screening in full during the Festival and other cultural events related to the TRAme Indipendenti Festival promoted by the Association, including through private streaming for projecting the event in multiple theatres.

The organizers reserve the possibility of broadcasting the evening in live streaming. The streaming of the evening will not be made available except for the duration of the live broadcast.

It also allows the publication of sent texts and pictures relating to the film on the festival catalogue, on its website and on the social media pages of the festival. The selection of a film to the Festival also entails the sharing and/or streaming of the full trailer and of part of the selected film itself on the Festival website and its social media pages, as well as the sharing and/or streaming of any frame or digital video, titles, names of the accredited parties or other material for solely promotional and organizational purposes.

The selected films will be saved in the digital archive of the “TRAme Indipendenti” Festival, where the films will be stored in off-line mode, classified and made available for the exclusive use of the organizers.

The selected films might be stored in one or more copies on digital storage device, also after the end of the Festival with the sole purpose of the circulation of culture or for educational purposes in events linked to the Festival in any country of the world and for an unlimited amount of time, during cultural events and TV broadcasts.
