Getafe en Corto is a short film festival organized by Onda Vecinal Getafe, in collaboration with the Getafe City Council.

It will be held on March 19, 20 and 21, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., at the Getafe Market Space. Pl. de la Constitución, 5, 28901 Getafe, Madrid

Jury Award for Best Short Film.

Jury Award - for Best Direction.

Jury Award - fur Best Performance.

Premio del Jurado - Mejor Cortometraje Internacional.

Audience Award.

Participation Rules – Getafe en Corto 2026

Short films meeting the following requirements may participate:

Short films must not exceed 13 minutes in length, including credits.

All short films submitted to Getafe en Corto must have been produced after January 2022.

Short films of all genres and themes are accepted.

International productions have their own specific submission category.

All selected works will be eligible for the following awards:

Jury Prize for Best Short Film

Jury Prize for Best Director

Jury Prize for Best Performance

Jury Prize for Best Screenplay

Jury Prize for Best International Short Film (submitted under this category)

All categories will receive the award "La Chevela".

More than one short film may be submitted.

Participation implies acceptance of these rules, whose interpretation and application are the responsibility of the organizers.

As a requirement for selection, at least one member of the film crew must attend the screening to present the short film.

The holder of the short film rights authorizes the free use of images and clips (up to 1 minute) from the film for press, television, and promotional purposes of Getafe en Corto.

A submission fee of €6 will be charged for each short film entered in the official section, and €19 for the international section.

Any changes to these rules due to error or omission will be made public immediately and will have retroactive effect.

The festival will be accessible to people with hearing disabilities. Therefore, Spanish subtitles are mandatory for all short films. These subtitles must be clear and help the audience follow the storyline. It is recommended to use different colors for each speaker or a font style that helps distinguish between characters.

Submission Details:

Getafe en Corto will take place on March 19, 20, and 21, 2026, at 7:30 PM, in Espacio Mercado de Getafe, located at Plaza de la Constitución, 5, 28901 Getafe, Madrid.

Short films must be submitted via the Festhome platform. Other platforms may become available during the submission period.
