Angus Film Festival presents its 1st edition that will take place in Madrid, on September 26, 27, and 28, 2022. It is a general and competitive festival. Our intention is to promote and give visibility to the talent of filmmakers from all over the world.

- All finished works dated after September 2020 will be accepted.

- Each author may submit a maximum of two works.

- The duration of the works will be less than 15 min with titles of credits included.

- Works from any country are accepted as long as they are subtitled or the original language is Spanish.

- Advertising works will not be accepted.

- Works that promote violence, racism or any kind of hatred will not be accepted.

- Works by minors will not be accepted.

- The deadline for the registration period will be July 31, 2022.
Any person or legal entity can participate, individually or collectively, without any age limit, with short films of any genre. Each filmmaker, producer and/or director can register a maximum of two works. The productions must have been made after September 1, 2020.

The theme and genre of the productions is free.

Short films must be (but not limited to) fiction, animation and/or documentary. They must have a maximum duration of 15 minutes including credits.

The deadline for registration and receipt of productions begins on February 1, 2022 and ends on Agoust 10, 2022. Works that arrive with a later delivery date will not be accepted.

Works of an advertising nature will not be admitted, nor those that use non-original material in more than 10% of the totality of the work. Works that do not have the necessary technical quality for a correct visualization will not be accepted either.

The Coordinating Committee will make a preliminary selection of the works presented. This decision will be communicated to each producer and/or director of each of the selected productions.

The OFFICIAL SELECTION will be made public as of September 1, 2022.

Those responsible for the selected productions must send an email to angusfilmfest@gmail.com with the title of the production as the subject, attaching two or more frames of the film that may be used as promotional material for the festival, as well as a brief technical sheet with the data of the production team. They will also have to include a downloadable link with the projection copy, preferably in .mp4 (H264) format and HD quality (1920x1080).

The authors will have to ensure beforehand that the content of their work does not infringe the rights of intellectual property or other rights of third parties, and they will exonerate the Coordinating Committee of any legal responsibility.

The selected productions will make up the OFFICIAL SELECTION, and will be publicly screened during the days of the Festival, on the understanding that their authors or producers authorize the screening. Likewise, the organization reserves the right to be able to use the productions in a promotional way and/or later to be projected in videos and promotional events of the festival in a period of one year.

A Jury appointed by the Coordinating Committee and made up of a minimum of 3 people, will decide the prizes of the OFFICIAL SELECTION. The Jury will be made up of professionals of recognized prestige in the sector of audiovisual communication and culture.

- The festival will be held in a movie theater in the capital of Madrid as long as there are no restrictions due to Covid-19 or any other pandemic that may appear.

- The festival reserves the right to make changes if required.
