Lloret Negre is the first noir genre festival of the Costa Brava. It's objetive is to promote the noir genre and as well as Lloret de Mar and it's heritage.

REGULATIONS OF THE 4RD LLORET NEGRE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

1) Organization, Date and Venue

The International Film Noir Festival of the Costa Brava, the Lloret Negre International Film Fest (LLNIFF, with its initials LLNIFF, organized by the Lloret Negre Association). The Lloret Negre International Film Festival will take place in Lloret de Mar, between November 7 and 9, 2025.

2) Objectives

The International Film Noir Festival of Lloret de Mar (Lloret Negre International Film Fest), part of the cultural association Lloret Negre, aims to promote culture and at the same time offer a selection of films from the international scene linked to the noir genre.

All films that are part of the festival selection will be screened in original version with Spanish subtitles (VOSE) in the case of international selections. The films are chosen by the Selection Committee created by the Festival organization.

3) Sections

The Lloret Negre International Film Fest presents the following sections:

- Secció Oficial (Official Section)
- Instituts de Lloret (Lloret High Schools)
- Nous Talents (New Talents, academic production).



3.1) Official Section
Includes fiction feature films of the noir genre. The films presented must not have been screened in Spain, including theatrical circuits, subscription, paid and/or free digital platforms and television broadcasting.

3.2) Instituts de Lloret
Original works presented by students from Lloret de Mar high schools. This section will be at the service of the young people of Lloret to give them exposure and entry to the cinematographic world.

3.3) Nous Talents
Works presented by the production companies of the Spanish film schools. Therefore this section will serve exclusively for the benefit of film schools in Spanish territory and their students. This section aims to give visibility and support to the students of film studies and degrees.

4) Awards and Jury

The awards given by the Lloret Negre International Film Fest are:

The award is a trophy. Its value is in the category of the Festival and its jury.

5) Registration

All registrations to the Lloret Negre Film Fest will be made through the website festhome.com. After the extraordinary meeting of the committee of the Lloret Negre Association, for the year 2025, the inscriptions are subsidized by the festival itself. Therefore the inscriptions are free of charge.

The registration date for the festival will be from April 22nd 2025 to July 31st of the same year.

6) Selections

All production companies or the producers/directors themselves, once their projects have been selected, must provide promotional material of the selected project as well as the download of the screening file in .mov format (Full HD) in original version with Spanish subtitles (VOSE).

7) Mention Commitment

Films selected in any section must include the festival logo and mention of the section and edition for which they have been selected in their advertisements and in the credits of each copy screened in Spain after the competition, in both cases. Copies for theatrical performances and copies in national commercial format (DVD, BLURAY). Award-winning films must include this mention, as well as a mention of the award received, in copies also exhibited outside Spanish territory. This condition applies to all awards.

8) Exhibition of films and use of images

By submitting your film to the Lloret Negre Film Festival, you consent to the film being exhibited within the festival. Once submitted, the film cannot be withdrawn from the festival or released in commercial theaters in Spain during the festival period.

Additionally, by submitting your film, you also consent to the use of its image for promotional purposes related to the festival.

The International Noir Film Festival reserves the right to hold up to three screenings of each selected finalist film. These screenings will take place during promotional events organized by the Festival itself and will be of a non-commercial, public nature. Such screenings will occur during the year following the festival, aiming to extend the festival's reach beyond its initial duration and promote cinematic culture.

9) Acceptance of the Regulations

Participation implies full acceptance of these Rules and Regulations. The interpretation of the same will be the responsibility of the Lloret Negre organization. In case of dispute, it will be subject to Spanish law and jurisdiction.
