1. Las Bases desarrolladas son válidas para todos los participantes de FANTASTICGIJÓN 2022.
2. No hay límite de obras por autor, siempre que hayan sido realizadas con posterioridad al 1 de agosto de 2021. Y, en el caso de los cortometrajes, su duración no exceda de los 30 minutos.
3. Todas las piezas presentadas al concurso deben ser originales. Los participantes ratifican a través de la firma de estas bases legales que poseen la autoría y por tanto los derechos de propiedad intelectual (o de la licencia autorizada del uso de la pieza por sus propietarios), además de la cesión del derecho de la imagen de las personas que aparezcan.
4. En caso de incumplimiento de la autoría, la persona responsable será única y exclusivamente aquel que haya presentado dicho cortometraje, asumiendo, por tanto, las consecuencias derivadas de cualquier tipo de reclamación o acción legal. En consecuencia, la organización se exime de cualquier conflicto derivado por la no autoría de los trabajos presentados.
5. Se establecen dos secciones dentro del festival.
5.1. Sección Oficial Largometrajes: Concurso de largometrajes de carácter internacional.
5.2. Sección Oficial Cortometrajes: Concurso de cortometrajes de carácter internacional.
6. Premios.
Se establecen dos premios principales.
6.1 Premio FANTASTIC GIJÓN a mejor largometraje.

Además la organización se reserva el derecho de otorgar menciones especiales o cualquier otro premio que considere.
7. El envío de las obras y su registro sólo se podrá realizar a través de Festhome (www.festhome.com)
8. Se podrán enviar las obras hasta el 31 de Agosto de 2022.
9. El Festival comunicará a todos los participantes por correo electrónico las obras que conforman la selección oficial 2 semanas antes del inicio del certamen. Se solicitará a su vez a cada seleccionado personalmente la copia de proyección en formato digital también por correo electrónico.
10. El tema de la obra a presentar es libre, siempre que la temática se inscriba dentro del género fantástico.
10.1 La organización del festival se reserva el derecho de prescindir de aquellas obras que considere que no cumplen con las bases, no presenten un mínimo de calidad (seremos rigurosos con aquellas que no respeten el formato de envío de las obras o superen el tiempo establecido para la duración de las proyecciones).
10.2 Subtítulos.
En caso de que sea necesario subtitular la película, la empresa que la cede deberá proporcionar el material adecuado: link de referencia, DVD o Blu-Ray y lista de diálogos y / o subtítulos. El Festival no devolverá estos materiales, los cuales serán destruidos una vez finalice el mismo. Si la película tiene distribución en el territorio español, la empresa distribuidora deberá proporcionar al festival una copia de proyección en VO subtitulada en castellano.
10.3 Formatos de Proyección.
Los formatos de proyección en sala para los trabajos seleccionados serán:

Largometrajes:
DCP en soporte físico (disco duro) o transferencia digital. En caso de estar encriptado, el Festival no se hará cargo de los gastos derivados de la generación de la DKDM o KDMs necesarias para la proyección en el certamen.
Cortometrajes:

Archivo digital con calidad HD (.mov o .mp4). El archivo proporcionado debe ser la versión final y sin subtítulos de la película. Los subtítulos deberán proporcionarse en archivos a parte en formato .srt. Los codecs deben ser h.264 o h.265.
10.4 Las copias enviadas para concursar serán conservadas por la organización del festival indefinidamente, formando parte del material de archivo, y pudiendo ser utilizadas con fines no lucrativos.
10.5 Los fallos del Comité de selección y del Jurado son inapelables.
10.6 Las votaciones y la resolución del jurado son secretas, personales e irrevocables. La votación se hará por mayoría simple y no será pública hasta el momento de la entrega de premios. Posteriormente, será publicado a través de los distintos canales pertenecientes al festival y otros medios de comunicación.
11. Los concursantes ceden al festival los derechos de reproducción total o parcial de las obras presentadas, tanto en el ámbito del concurso como a través de cualquiera de los medios que utiliza este festival para darse a conocer y promocionarse. Esto no implica la pérdida de los derechos de autor por parte de sus propietarios sino la cesión de estos con fines no comerciales y vinculados al festival.
11.1. Los concursantes autorizan al festival a utilizar, reproducir y distribuir su nombre, así como las obras que participan, las imágenes y fotogramas contenidos en dichas piezas para cualquier evento que la organización realice a lo largo del año natural siempre y cuando mantengan la esencia de no poseer ánimo de lucro.
11.2. Cualquier información o aclaración adicional será facilitada por email.
12. Todos los participantes, por el hecho de serlo, aceptan íntegramente las presentes bases, así como la resolución por la Organización de cualquier problema no acogido en éstas. Ante posibles dudas prevalecerá el criterio de la Organización del Festival.
13. La Organización se reserva el derecho de modificar estas bases.

RULES
FANTASTICGIJON 2022

1. The Rules are valid for all participants of FANTASTICGIJÓN 2022.
2. There is no limit to the number of works per author, as long as they have been made after 1st August 2021. And, in the case of short films, their duration must not exceed 30 minutes.
3. All works submitted to the competition must be original. The participants ratify by signing these legal bases that they own the authorship and therefore the intellectual property rights (or the authorised licence for the use of the piece by its owners), as well as the cession of the right to the image of the people who appear in it.
4. In case of breach of authorship, the person responsible will be solely and exclusively the person who has submitted the short film, assuming, therefore, the consequences derived from any kind of claim or legal action. Consequently, the organisation is exempt from any conflict derived from the non-authorship of the works presented.
5. Two sections will be established within the festival.
5.1. Official Feature Films Section: Competition for international feature films.
5.2. Official Short Films Section: Competition for international short films.
6. Prizes.
There are two main prizes.
6.1 FANTASTIC GIJÓN Award for best feature film.
Five hundred euros prize.
6.2 FANTASTIC GIJÓN Award for best short film.
6.3 The Jury may declare the prizes void.

In addition, the organization reserves the right to award special mentions or any other prize it considers.
7. The sending of the works and their registration can only be done through Festhome (www.festhome.com).
8. Works may be submitted until 31 August 2022.
9. The Festival will communicate to all participants by e-mail the works that make up the official selection 2 weeks before the beginning of the competition. The screening copy in digital format will also be requested to each selected film by e-mail.
10. The theme of the work to be presented is free, as long as the subject matter falls within the fantastic genre.
10.1 The organization of the festival reserves the right to disregard those works that do not comply with the rules, do not present a minimum of quality (we will be rigorous with those that do not respect the format of sending the works or exceed the time established for the duration of the screenings).
10.2 Subtitles.
If it is necessary to subtitle the film, the company providing the film must provide the appropriate material: reference link, DVD or Blu-Ray and list of dialogues and/or subtitles. The Festival will not return these materials, which will be destroyed at the end of the Festival. If the film is distributed in Spanish territory, the distribution company must provide the Festival with a copy of the OV screening with Spanish subtitles.
10.3 Screening Formats.
The theatrical screening formats for the selected works will be:

Feature films:
DCP on physical support (hard disk) or digital transfer. If the film is encrypted, the Festival will not be responsible for the costs derived from the generation of the DKDM or KDMs necessary for the screening at the Festival.
Short films:

Digital file with HD quality (.mov or .mp4). The file provided must be the final, unsubtitled version of the film. Subtitles must be provided as separate files in .srt format. Codecs must be h.264 or h.265.
10.4 The copies submitted for the competition will be kept by the festival organisation indefinitely, forming part of the archive material, and may be used for non-profit purposes.
10.5 The decisions of the Selection Committee and the Jury are final.
10.6 Voting and the jury's decision are secret, personal and irrevocable. Voting will be by simple majority and will not be made public until the awards ceremony. Subsequently, it will be published through the different channels belonging to the festival and other media.
11. The contestants cede to the festival the rights of total or partial reproduction of the works presented, both within the scope of the competition and through any of the media used by this festival to make itself known and promote itself. This does not imply the loss of copyright by their owners, but rather the transfer of these rights for non-commercial purposes linked to the festival.
11.1. The contestants authorise the festival to use, reproduce and distribute their name, as well as the works that participate, the images and stills contained in these pieces for any event that the organisation carries out throughout the calendar year as long as they maintain the essence of being non-profit making.
11.2. Any additional information or clarification will be provided by email.
12. All participants, by the fact of being participants, accept these rules in their entirety, as well as the resolution by the Organisation of any problem not covered by these rules. In the event of possible doubts, the criteria of the Festival Organisers will prevail.
13. The Organisation reserves the right to modify these rules.
