The Fugaz International Film Festival commonly know as The Fugaz Awards is one of the most important short film award ceremony not just for Spanish films but for European films as well.

Organised by CortoEspaña and in its 7th edition, the festival has been a bedrock and foundation for brilliant filmmakers from all over Europe who has gone on to make more successful films leveraging the support and influence from the Fugaz Award contacts and community.

The short films selected will opt for the seventh edition of the Fugaz Awards at the closing ceremony of the Fugaz International Short Film. These awards, which are divided into 17 categories, seek to give voice to the short film industry itself.

● Filmmakers of European nationality who own the rights to the works they present are encouraged to submit. However, submission is open to all persons from any country. Those works that are not made in English/Spanish must have subtitles in either English/Spanish language.
● All films of any genre (fiction, animation, documentary, experimental...) are eligible to submit
● The production date of the short film must be after January 1, 2021.
● The deadline to submit works will be September 30, 2022.
● The maximum duration of the work will be 30 minutes.
● Each author may submit as many short films as they wish.
