The Serra Elétrica Film Club promotes a diverse program, holding non-competitive screenings of short films in the fantasy genre (suspense, horror, experimental, drama, and science fiction), all directed and/or written by women.

The first edition of the Serra Elétrica Film Club was held with the support of the Coletivo Audiovisual Lageano (CAL). This group, formed in 2014, works to promote audiovisual production in the Serra Catarinense region. Composed of various artists, cultural producers, and local industry professionals, CAL
aims to promote actions related to the appreciation, encouragement, and democratization of audiovisual production.

1. REGISTRATION CONDITIONS

1. PERIOD AND LOCATION

a) The Serra Elétrica Film Club will be held in person from November 8, 2025, to November 29, 2025, in the city of Lages, Santa Catarina.

2. REGISTRATION AND WORKS

a) The registration period will be from September 15, 2025, to October 5, 2025;

b) Registration is FREE;

c) Short films up to 30 minutes long, produced nationally and internationally, directed and/or written by women (cisgender, transgender, etc.) will be accepted.

d) Short films accepted for registration must be in the following category or genre: fantasy, suspense, horror, drama, and science fiction.

e) Films completed from 2021 onwards;

f) Short fiction, documentary, and experimental works will be accepted;

g) Registration is via an online form, available in the bio of the @cal_lages Instagram page;

h) Individuals and legal entities with a directing and/or writing role in the submitted work may submit entries;

i) Films with a release date from 2021 onwards will be accepted;

j) No physical media related to the work is required;

k) Films submitted for selection must guarantee the copyright of the images and soundtrack contained in the work to be screened at the film club and
exempt the event organizer from paying any royalties at the time of screening.

l) Files of submitted productions must be uploaded to the following video sharing platforms: Google Drive, Vimeo,
or YouTube. Files in high-quality MP4, H264, or ProRes format will be accepted;

m) The selected works will be screened publicly and free of charge on the days designated by the film club, according to a previously prepared calendar.

It is clear that the authors or producers of the works, by participating, grant authorization for such screenings. The organization may publish printed material about the works to be screened. The authors and/or producers of the works also authorize the use of a fragment of the works for publication in any media used by the film club.

n) The film club will not pay any screening fees to the authors/distributors of the selected films.

3) Registration with this form implies prior knowledge and full acceptance of the terms and clauses described herein.
