Within the framework of the multiple activities presented and organized by Andares: Cinematographic Actions, we are pleased to present the fourth edition of our Contemporary Film Festival. Another short, careful and compact edition to celebrate cinephilia in the peruvian fall.

1. ANDARES CONTEMPORARY FILM FESTIVAL

Within the framework of the multiple activities presented and organized by Andares: Cinematographic Actions, we are pleased to present the fourth edition of our Contemporary Film Festival. Another short, careful and compact first edition to celebrate cinephilia together with the heat of the first months of the year.

Andares is a proposal that dynamically addresses contemporary cinema by intertwining film curation, critical writing, audiovisual creation and, now, cultural management as well.

2. DATE OF THE EVENT

The fourth edition of the Andares Contemporary Film Festival will be held in theaters in the city of Lima, Peru, in May 2026. Theaters to be confirmed.


3. CATEGORIES

I. Planisferio (International Competition): for documentaries, fiction, animation and/or cinematographic experimentation films from all over the world —except Peru— whose year of production is not earlier than 2025. We receive films of any length. We request premiere in Peruvian territory.


II. Andares Andinos (Andean Official Selection): transversal competition for documentary films, fiction, animation and/or cinematographic experimentation produced in Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador y Venezuela whose release year is not before 2025. We receive films from any duration.

We request premiere in Peruvian territory.


4. GENERAL APPLICATION CONDITIONS

a. Registrations for the competitive categories of ANDARES are open for works whose production is from January 2025 to date.

b. To participate in the international category, filmmakers must apply via the FESTHOME online platform.

c. The amount for each registered film —with the exception of Peruvian productions— will be:

Short films (less than 30 minutes long)
$6

Feature films (more than 30 minutes long)
$10

d. After accepting the organization's invitation, the films may not be withdrawn from the event program nor may they be exhibited at any other event in the Republic of Peru before their official presentation at the 4th Andares Contemporary Film Festival.

5. REGISTRATION DATE

The ANDARES call will be open until Sunday, April 5, 2026.


6. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS – ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS

The registration in ANDARES implies the acceptance of these bases and conditions and the assignment of the projection rights of the material presented for the purposes of disseminating this edition as well as future editions from the date of selection of the material. Likewise, together with the signing of these terms and conditions, the owner(s) of the work accept(s) to transfer the rights of projection and reproduction of the same for the purposes of its exhibition in the non-profit activities related to the festival, as well as for its advertising dissemination.

Once the reference is included in the catalogue, the film cannot be unilaterally withdrawn from the competition.

7. RIGHTS OF THE PARTICIPATING WORKS

a. The participants declare that they are the only and real owners of the audiovisual works that are presented at the event, both in case of being the author and of being the assignee of the same. In case of falsity in the affidavit, because they are not the owners of the same, the responsibility for any claim by third parties will be exclusively of the participant who presents the work, without the festival having anything to respond to third parties.

b. The participants declare that they have all the rights involved in the work.

c. The participants state that they leave the event unscathed for any claim regarding the ownership of the work and/or lack of authorization regarding the rights contained therein.
