The Río Negro International Social Film Festival is an audiovisual festival that aims to promote cinema within the country and abroad. The festival will be held in March with a competition of feature films and short films, both fiction, animation and documentary. There will also be talks and workshops.

1. – RIO NEGRO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL


This Festival aims to promote culture and film production both in the country and in the world.


2. - DATE OF THE CONTEST:


It will take place in april.


3. - PLACE:


Viedma, Patagones, Argentina


4. - COMPETITION CATEGORIES


_Feature film: Official competition for works that develop the genre of fiction or documentary or experimental in Argentine or foreign feature films with a minimum duration of 60 minutes.

_Short Film: Official competition for Argentine and foreign works that develop any genre, with a maximum duration of 20 minutes including credits.




5. - GENERAL CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION


a) Those works completed within the period January 2023 to 2025 inclusive may participate. Of the works sent there will be a pre-selection.

b) Registration for the festival will be done through the Festhome platform

c) Once the work has been pre-selected, the owner must deliver a copy in HD format in its best possible quality for its exhibition at the festival.


6. - JURY


a) The jury will be made up of personalities from the audiovisual media, the arts and national and/or international culture.

b) People who are directly related to the works in competition will be disqualified from being part of the jury.

c) The decision of the jury is final

7. - PRIZES


The Festival will award the following prizes:

• Best National and International Feature Film Award.

• Best National and International Short Film Award.

• 2 Jury Mentions in each category.


8. - TRANSFER OF THE COPIES


a) The shipping costs of the works will be the responsibility of the registrant.


9. - INSURANCE OF COPIES


a) The Festival is not responsible for damages or losses occurred during the transfer of copies.

b) In case of serious damage or loss during the development of the contest and while it is in the hands of the organization, it will be responsible for the replacement cost of the copy, in the same format and quality of the copy received as long as this situation is duly notified by the interested party during the event.


10. - BREACH OF REQUIREMENTS


The received works that do not comply with the general conditions of participation and the pre-selection requirements will not be registered.


11. - ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS - ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS


Registration in the Festival implies the acceptance of these bases and conditions and the assignment of the projection rights of the material presented for the purposes of the dissemination of this edition, as well as future editions from the date of selection of the material.

Likewise, together with the signing of these bases and conditions, the owner(s) of the work agrees to assign the projection and reproduction rights of the work for the purposes of its exhibition at the Luz del Desierto International Film Festival (in the national territory or abroad) as well as for its advertising diffusion.


12. - RIGHTS OF PARTICIPATING WORKS


1) The participants state that they are the sole and real owners of the audiovisual works that are presented to the festival, both in the case of being the author and in the case of being the assignee thereof. In case of falsity in the affidavit, because they are not the owners of the same, the responsibility for any third-party claim will be exclusively of the participant who presents the work, without the Festival having anything to respond to third parties.

2) The participants state that they have all the rights involved in the work.

3) The participants declare that they leave the Del Río Negro International Social Film Festival harmless for any claim regarding the ownership of the work and/or lack of authorization regarding the rights contained therein.

The bases and conditions may be modified without prior notice.
