FestiBaldo was born with great enthusiasm — and a lot of effort — in the Sant Roc neighborhood (Badalona) in 2022. It is a festival organized by the 10th-grade students of Institut Escola Baldomer Solà.

This year marks the 4th edition, and we hope it will have the same impact as in previous years.

To participate, entrants must comply with the rules and regulations described below.

AWARDS

The festival will present the following awards:

Award for Best Short Film and Best Direction, granted by the official jury.

Award for Best Social-Themed Short Film, granted by the community jury.

Audience Award for Best Short Film.

Award for Best Short Film in Catalan.

1. Participation
Short films from all countries around the world may participate in the FestiBaldo. The short films must have a maximum duration of 10 minutes and must have been produced after December 31, 2024.

2. Genre and Theme
Short films of any cinematic genre (animation, fiction, documentary, etc.) may participate. The THEME must be based on the essence of equity and natural justice, specifically addressing issues related to how to achieve true equity in a society full of historical and cultural inequalities.

3. Registration
Registration for the festival will be carried out exclusively through the FESTHOME platform (www.festhome.com), within the period between November 4 and December 9, 2025, both dates included.

4. Notification and Delivery
Selected short films will receive an official notification from the festival via email. The recipients must reply by sending a download link to the short film (via Vimeo or WeTransfer) and the requested documentation before May 7, 2026.

5. subtitles
Short films in languages other than Catalan or Spanish must include subtitles in either Catalan or Spanish.

6. Juries
The festival will have the following juries:


An official jury composed of members from the world of cinema and the arts.


A community jury made up of local residents and neighborhood associations.


A student jury formed by secondary school students.


7. awards
The festival will present the following awards:


Award for Best Short Film and Best Direction, granted by the official jury.


Award for Best Social-Themed Short Film, granted by the community jury.


Audience Award for Best Short Film.


Award for Best Short Film in Catalan.


8. Use of Materials
The festival may edit and use printed materials related to the works exhibited. It may also use a fragment of the work for promotional purposes in the media or on social networks.

9. Screening Rights
The organization reserves the right to screen the selected films during the festival. For this reason, it will be essential for the producers to grant, free of charge, the public screening rights of the selected short films for the duration of the festival.

10. Modifications
The organization reserves the right to modify these regulations, in whole or in part, at any time.

11. Acceptance
Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of these regulations.
